It's that time of year again and this looks to be a better season that last year already. It's starting off with the fans picking which 3, out of 6, Dynamic Duos are going to come back to the house. Vote here http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_brother/twist/It's pretty clear and by the percentages you will see after making your vote, who are the three best duos to see comeback. The choices are : Will & Boogie Brendan & Rachel Evil Dick & Danielle Jessie & Natalie (I would quit wacthing the show if they get picked to comeback) Jeff & Jordan Enzo & Hayden I went with Will & Boogie. More commentary to come later.

I voted for Enzo and Hayden (while being absolutely sure they won't win, however). I'd love to see Doctor Will or Dick back in the fray --- but didn't pick 'em because of who they're paired with. My hunch is that one of those two will be chosen with our without my vote, anyway . Man, I hope it IS a good season, Bx. It'd be so-o-o nice to have something destination to watch for a while this summer. I don't think I've watched anything on network TV for weeks now.

I went with Will and Boogie, the others I either couldn't stand or I thought wouldn't do much in the game a second time around. I didn't start watching the show until "Big Brother 4" but after seeing Dr. Will in the all star version I think I was missing out on something great. I'd probably not watch this season if either Natalie or Rachel gets in there. I still have "America's Got Talent" and whatever Gordon Ramsey show is on this summer .

Golly freakin' gee! I've had a few really really busy nights at work and haven't been paying attention, and look what happens! I didn't even expect this thread to be up and running again til next week! OK, first of all...who did I vote "for"? I voted for Will and Boogie and Dick and Danielle. I used the quotes for "for" because after I "voted", the website said "I just voted for Dr. Will and Mike "Boogie" as the duo I think is returning to the house!" To me, that means they've already decided, they just want to know what I think. Who cares what I think? Remember in the real All-Stars (Season 7) when we got to actually vote on who we wanted? Why did I vote that way? Well, Boogie and Danielle I could not care less about. But I love, love, love Will (best BB player ever), and Boogie has never been anything more than Will's puppet, so who cares? And Dick...Dick was the most polarizing BB player ever! I think more people hated him than loved him, but it was a close call. But I enjoyed the holy heck out of watching Dick play the game (thank you to America as "America's Player" for maneuvering it so he could continue). Despite my love for Dr. Will, he's already had two goes at it (and won both times, thanks to his puppet Boogie), so I would love to see Dick have another go at it. This is a bit frustrating because last year, the producers said this year wouldn't be All-Stars. I guess they didn't say it wouldn't be half-All-Stars. (I don't think it's fair to do a partial All-Stars, because the non-All-Stars will be gunning for the All-Stars. Kinda like when they let an evicted houseguest return.) But after the fiasco that was Season 12, I can see why they'd be a little desperate and gun-shy. Having half the houseguests over 30 is pretty radical for Big Brother. Being just a wee bit over 30 myself , I might find it quite interesting. On the other hand, having a house majority of people who act like grown-ups ~ instead of a house full of people who think they know who they are but will discover years later that they hadn't a clue ~ may be quite boring. I fear I fear I fear I fear I fear that we may be subjected to Jessie and Natalie. BB has used Jessie ad nauseum since the year of his actual season. He keeps returning like a bad, nagging cough. Why? Does anyone in the BB world think he has fans? Do they ever read the boards? Why of the many, many people that the producers could bring back do they keep subjecting us to Jessie? Give me KAYSAR, you idiots! Give me Jason! Give me someone that someone in America was ever, even for a minute, actually rooting for! I've been too much of a BB addict to say, I'll quit... But I barely made it through watching Natalie make it to Final 2, and survived it only by watching Natalie's totally-in-love-with-Jessie-while-wearing-the-twist-tie-engagement-ring-of-another-guy fall from grace when Jessie actually voted against her. ...And that's what scares me. Jessie and Natalie have drama to bring to the table right off the bat. Will and Boogie have no drama. They're still friends. Jeff and Jordan have no drama. They're still dating. And Rachel and Brendon? Uh-oh! They have drama! Brendon got caught texting pics of his private parts to another woman! And Rachel accepted his engagement ring anyway! Ick! I have had enough Rachel and Brendon to last me forever! Personally, I think they could have made some more interesting "dynamic duos" than the obvious ones ~ like Dick and Eric (who Dick wouldn't have won without) or Danielle and Jason or Amy and Marcellas. Or especially...give us Will and Evel Dick as the ultimate fantasy team!! Because this is my worst nightmare, I'm going to predict we get Jessie and Natalie and Rachel and Brendon. That would be just about on par for how my life is going lately. Why rock the boat? On the other hand, if we get both Will and Dick, I may become so excited that you guys have to do an intervention and get me on some medication. (Actually, could you do that no matter what the outcome? ) But they've done it, those producers. They've already hooked me like they haven't for years. Who will it be? I'm on the edge of my seat... ~~~~~ Specifically to "themonarch": If you enjoyed Will's playing in All-Stars, you might go back and watch Season 2 (you can watch it on Youtube). I recently re-watched it after becoming a Will Fan way back then. And it was odd. When I remembered that (at that time) I didn't know he would win, I wondered why I ever thought he could. But by the end of the season, I was a die-hard Will Fan, and have remained so ever since. I think he's brainwashed me, and I'm only sorta half kidding.

I am praying that Jesse does not return. I just don't think I could take another summer of that meathead and Gnatalie was just vile. I actually really liked Daniele. Sure, she was whiny and annoying, but she was one of the strongest competitors ever. I think she and Janelle are the two best women to ever play the game. I just hate the mixing of all-stars and regular players. It ruins the whole dynamic of what Big Brother is supposed to be about.

The major die-hard BB followers who have seen every interview, every twitter, every everything are suspecting that our returning houseguests will be Jeff and Jordan, Dick and Danielle, and Rachel and Brendon. Obviously, there is still a great deal of speculation ~ and it's obvious the producers are totally toying with us ~ but that's what they're saying right now.

Wow, the CBS boards are messed up. They switched over to a Facebook-based system, and people have to sign in through Facebook to post.

I find it very irritating when websites force you to use Facebook in order to participate. None of those websites get any traffic from me.

Yep. There is already a huge spoiler about who left the house. Although, if you watch BBAD it is not really a spoiler.

I thought the premiere was one of the better ones they've had, but maybe that's just because I was excited about the returning players. I'm not sure I like the idea of some returnees and some newbies, but it's not been done before, so we'll see how it comes out. The Golden Key definitely adds a unique element to the game, but it also sets up 4 people who don't really have to play the game, and that could get boring.

I don't like that the golden key holders can't compete. I feel like we are getting robbed of some better comps.

It seems playing as a duo (which I'm not a fan of -- too much like that awful Season 9) adds enough complications to the game without adding the Golden Key factor. I'm wondering if the producers added that to give a possible leg up to the veterans, since they are outnumbered by newbies.

Well, there sure wasn't much of Dick shown in tonight's show. Just a few minutes in the beginning and then ~ poof, he was gone. It made me sad.

Uh oh. I think I'm going to have a pretty rocky time "getting into" this season, if so far is any evidence. Naturally, Evel Dick's exit was a disappointment. But, for me, I could have easily skittered over that, I think. Something about Dick. You just figure that he has a complex life, right? ... one might imagine that he's 'wanted' by law enforcement in several states, or whatever . So being intervened upon by something is not so weird, in his case. His leaving brought something back to mind, though, as it applies to him. Mr. "Tatty and Rough-Around-The-Edges" had, as he barked and terrorized (in his season, anyway), a heart that made sense. He was ALL about Daniele. Now that he's gone, and that it'll be be hard for any of the rest of 'em in there to see why she was worth such effort to be that? Pretty much writes her off as a point of interest. Even his ghost in the house won't save her much, in my opinion. Jeff and Jordan I like(d) (especially Jeff, because he tried so hard last time - flubbed up as it became). I really don't, privately, sense that they're there to win this time, though. Maybe they are, but I'm not feeling it yet? And, even though I missed the episode, Jeff evidently made a remark that made CBS step in and make a public statement about it? Granted, these folks can't be expected to make 'politically correct' comments 24/7 as cameras and microphones follow them around. None of us, if we're honest with ourselves, can say that we do ( without cameras, etc.). But if Jeff really said that? He's lost my interest, too --- which is weird to say, since he said similar stuff last time on BB and it didn't bother me, and especially because I never thought either he OR Jordan were, or ought to be thought as, raging intellectuals. I'll give him substantial credibility (after a stint on "Amazing Race", especially), now, to offer that he should be more *worldly*, and aware of those obnoxious cameras as he says/does stuff. He said it recently, so I think he meant it recently. Another time. He or Jordan, on their own for more than a week or two, aren't going to fly. And (how silly!) I find that I can't even write the name of those other two 'veterans' as I post! I can't stand either of them. She, the poster girl for passive/aggressive low self-esteem and he the poster boy for pukeworthiness. So, now, I'm struggling through all that to find a 'newbie' who grabs me. So far none have, but I think one or three will as things go (it seems to always happen). I'm going to watch, but I'm having a hard spurt of it right now. What I need to do, I'm suspecting, as the season gears up? Probably lighten up a little. But, still. It's "Big Brother"! We're supposed to get all fired up vicariously, I reckon . So I think that's just what I'm doing, at this point in the season ...

I hope you do find a way to get into this season, Gats, so we don't lose your commentary on the matter.
I think Jeff and Jordan would like to win, but they've said several times that their primary objective is to both make jury, at this point. They want to spend the summer together, so they don't want one of them to go home before jury.
Jeff's comments about Dumbledore weren't shown on any episode -- they were only shown on the feeds when they happened -- so you didn't miss anything. I was surprised CBS felt they had to issue one of those "these views do not represent the views of CBS" statements ~ the houseguests say a lot of offensive things on the feeds, but CBS' response is usually just to ignore them and refuse to air them on television. This one, however, apparently struck a nerve with a lot of folks. I'm not shocked that Jeff has bigoted feelings ~ that was pretty obvious during his first time on BB. But it surprised me that he didn't have the sense to censor himself, knowing that he was being filmed. Then again, intellectual capacity is not one of Jeff's strong points.
So far, I can't seem to feel an attachment for any of the newbies, either. I'm almost glad we have our veterans because I don't know what I'd do if we had a whole house full of these newbies. I'm sure as time goes on, I'll become more fond of some of them ~ I seem to remember feeling this way in the early weeks of past seasons. I find myself rooting for Danielle and Jeff and Jordan by default. Danielle really got a raw deal when she lost her solid ally before the game even really got started.

There's been some speculation on the internet that they may be planning to bring back an evicted houseguest, due to the fact that Keith wasn't told who voted to evict him. The best I can tell, he has not tweeted since he left the house so it's possible he is sequestered. It would make sense in a way, because with Dick's exit, they are one houseguest short to keep to the original schedule. Of course, they could always just cancel a scheduled double eviction to even things out.
I'm curious about the Fortune Teller, too. She was seen quite a lot in the promos, but so far has had nothing to do with the game.

I've been kind of curious because the first week, Jeff said he found a quarter in his luggage that he didn't know he had. Then Adam said he found a quarter somewhere in the house. I've heard reports that Dani has quarters also. I found it curious because I don't have any memory of houseguests having or finding coins in any other seasons. They did try to use Jeff's quarter on the Fortune Teller the night that Dick disappeared, thinking maybe that was part of the game, but Big Brother came on the PA and said, "Stop that!" I think they've been chastised so many times for messing with the Fortune Teller that they've just abandoned all attempts to do anything with it.
I was glad to see Rachel win HOH tonight, only because I don't want to see Jeff and Jordan put up. The newbies have seemed to indicate they would put up Jeff and Jordan before Rachel and Brendon because they fear the repercussions from the big power couple.

It might not be time for the Fortune Teller twist, but Julie did say that there was a new twist to be shown this coming Sunday. If they have been told not to mess with the machine, that's probably why no one is touching it yet.
I am wondering, since there are only 3 possible teams to be put on the block, D/A, J/J and L/K, would it almost make sense for J/J to ask to be put up and guarantee them a chance to play for the Veto, and not leave it to chance that the nominated team, B/R and the other team are the ones to play for the Veto, have the not nominated team win the Veto, use it, and B/R are forced to put up J/J.
For the record I don't consider this past week a backdoor, since the nominated team is the one that won the Veto, a backdoor is having the HoH or someone else not on the block take somone off the block so that another target can be sent home and have the planned out from the beginning.
Then next week there will only be 3 couples still intact and it will be almost like the final 4, only HoH team and Veto winning team get to stay off the block.
