The old end of the M40 motorway, since it was extended this is the A40 exit to Oxford which used to be the continuation of the M40.

LOL Ren. She/he "looks" that way for sure. In our Zoe's case, if she thinks she's half-hidden, she also thinks it's a great opportunity to go into attack mode : ) We tend to ignore her when she's in situations like that and eventually she comes out and seeks company instead. Yes I realise it's sad that we have "mental battles" with an animal who has a brain the size of a walnut, but I prefer to be laughed at rather than acquire more scars lol.

Ladies, the words "adorable" and "sweet" don't really apply to Bijou. She plays by her own rules, unlike her companion Mishka who asks for nothing more than a warm lap and plenty of stroking.

I looked last night & saw that it was coming up as 'image has been moved or deleted', presumably due to me 'reorganiSing' my PhotoBucket pictures. That's why I decided to re-post it on this months thread. Apologies for the duplication.

I spotted this old telephone box near Madison Avenue, NY. Now being used
for a different purpose than intended. (Brits of a certain age will
remember that they were often dual-purpose structures in the UK too. I
won't go into detail. Suffice to say that there was no provision to wash
your hands after you'd finished, let alone a working flush!)

Being down on the High Street on Sunday when things were quiet I could stand in the road to take a picture without being knocked down,or try from the opposite pavement and get pictures of passing traffic

I'd suspect most enter round the back, and not on their feet either...

Roses on the edge of Hampstead Heath

Back again, the view across London also from Hampstead Heath, which is the northern extent of the London basin, and the highest point.

I don't know about using it as a convenience but they used to be handy places for young couple to snuggle up out of the rain and cold!

Can't use my good camera but took this one early this morning with my ipod so quality is low but it was just a lovely view.

A pond on Hampstead Heath

And the road which goes through the north side of Hampstead Heath between Golders Green and Hampstead, and the house where Lord Leverhulme lived on the left.
