Welcome to the first ever review of Snake !!

Can you believe the game has lasted just over a year...Does anybody know how it started ? Does anyone care ? LOL

The game started by pure luck. Back in the old days of FunTrivia, the rooms were created by traffic inside them were limited. Of course the Tavern was an exciting place to go but who would want to venture into Fun & Games...What was there to offer a member except general tips and tricks on playing games. The answer - Nothing !!

So, there I was stuck with a room with no view. At the time Texasjoe suggested to me to start a game. Any game. I racked my brains trying to find a game that didn't rely on cards, dice or general luck. Something that needed brains, something that was structrued and couldn't be thought of as rigged. Snake was born !! (Actually, I've played this game before but not like this over a community board.)

It was funny at first trying to get players into their time-slots....What with such an international crowd...you try and work out what time is what in each country. Finally, we got some players and their times....

There were only 7 players !! Today there are 24 players listed with an average of 13 playing each week. Gradually the game kicked off and more players started to join. A core group of players formed and you just knew who was going to play and who was going to start arguments !!

Like with every game...there were teething problems. Players shouting, cursing...wanting to maim, kill or just plain decapitate each other just for the sake of a few points !! Actually it wasn't that bad, but it did get heated from time to time. Of course, I couldn't take sides and had to calm every side down...and believe me when I say sometimes, I wanted to just knock heads together...LOL

We have had guest moderators in charge of Snake from time to time. So, a big thankyou to JJ and Sagebrush. Also, the Players Choice was thought up jointly by Smiley and myself...so a big thankyou to Smiley !!

Over the year, players have come, gone, come back and lefted once more. Everytime..always welcomed and a loss to see them go !! Without the players this game would never have reached the 50th !!

Sypher, Snake has been a blast for the past year. Thanks for all the fun and entertainment. I think that each one of us should try to recruit one other member to play in 2001 and really pump up the game. I have never won at Snake, but that doesn't mean that I haven't enjoy it tremendously. Keep up the great work Sypher, we love you!!

Well said JJ and a good idea!! (I have someone in mind... she doesn't know yet , but I am about to pounce). It is a great game with something for everyone... luck and skill, lots of lively debate and lots of fun. Thanks from me, too ,Sypher for such a good game . I hope it continues to be as successful.

From over the pond....

I have had such a blast this year! It has been so wonderful to meet so many new people...I have loved playing Snake- although it's been awhile since I've made it through a whole week! But I better stick with it this year- that'll be my resolution! Hmmm...good thing we're taking off for New Years!

Thanks, Sypher for coming up with a wonderful game, and for keeping it moving this past year.

Yes the Fluppies !! I never did get one for Hanukah LOL

Hey Sypher,
From one of the players who came and then lefted.......you doing a great job. I'm glad to see the game is still going. I wish I could find the time to play, but right now my schedule doesn't permit it. I see auschic's still managing to cheat, oops i mean win, all to often.
