Wow. Are those gorgeous flowers real flopsy? They seem too vivid to be real Anyway, here's Oliver Twist as seen in Auckland.

They were real, yes. They formed a suspended carpet of flowers - each stem went through a mesh and was inserted into a tube filled with water. The tubes were bound with thread so that they looked like bobbins - like this and this. The floral exhibition was in Salisbury Cathedral - the Royal Wilton Carpet Factory used to be in a neighbouring town, hence the association with carpet-making.
