Excluding the two leaders and the tail-ender, no-one managed to retain their spot from last week.

paper_aero is this week's winner with a humngous 8/12 and flies up the table from 10th to 3rd! Next best was just 6/12 by trev1 and 5/12 by PaulE. The rest of us scored 4/12 apart from the 5 spoons on 3/12.

A fortnight ago we had 12 players (2nd to 13th) separated by a mere 1½ pts .. last week we were down to 9 players (3rd to 11th) separated by 1½ pts. This week we're down to 8 players separated by 1½ pts (5th to 12th).

The weekly win by paper_aero leaves PaulE as the only player without a weekly win, a wooden spoon, or a bonus pick.

We have a new leader .. George95 scores his 2nd HoF in two weeks and leap-frogs ozzz2002 to become our 3rd leader for the season. He also scored yet another two bonus picks.

The two leaders are already into double digits with bonus picks. PaulE is still looking for a weekly win, a wooden spoon, or a bonus pick.

Last week three players managed to retain their position. This week it was four . and the rest of us were nomads: Sypher moved up +4 LeoDaVinci down -5 .. and Dizart -8 under the weight of his wooden spoon.

Three weeks ago ago we had 12 players (2nd to 13th) separated by a mere 1½ pts .. a fortnight ago we were down to 9 players (3rd to 11th) separated by 1½ pts .. last week it was 8 players separated by 1½ pts (5th to 12th). This week we have two sets of 5 players separated by 1½ pts (5th to 9th plus 10th to 14th).

For the 3rd straight week our average strike rate was 34% .. can we do it again?

No change out front with the three leaders, and no change at the rear with the three tail-enders .. but the 13 spots in between saw another edition of musical chairs.

Howie72 picks a humungous 10/12 and flies up the table from 15th to 6th! The two he missed were Watford and WHU. It's the 9th occasion that someone has picked 10/12 in the history of FLC tipping comps.

Between us we averaged 56.5% .. it's the 5th highest-ever strike rate for any week of an FLC tipping comp.

No change out front, George95 still leads the way, and ditto at the tail, where KrivoyRog is still bringing up the rear .. but the spots in between saw yet another edition of musical chairs .. 16 participated this week vs. the 13 who swapped places last week.

LeoDaVinci emulated the effort by Howie72 last week and picks a humungous 10/12. He picked the lot except for WHU being held to a draw, and the loss at home by Forest. He's now just a point and a half behind 3rd (from 10th last week).

It's the 11th occasion that someone has picked 10/12 in the history of FLC tipping comps .. and three of those 11 belong to LeoDaVinci. He scores a truck-load of points in the cricket comp, and picks near-miss FLC perfect picks with his eyes wide shut .. there is simply no end to this bloke's talents!

ozzz2002 collects this week's spoon with a stupendous 1/12. His sole pick was Peterborough to win at home .. and srini701 scored his first bonus pick for the season.

That's seven weeks behind us, and PaulE is still looking for a weekly win, a wooden spoon, or a bonus pick.

Last week's winner, LeoDaVinci with 10/12, collects this week's wooden spoon with a stupendous 1/12 .. there is simply no end to this bloke's talents! Sypher and trev1 are this round's weekly winners (their 2nd for the season). Sypher joins George95 out front to lead the way, and trev1 is now one spot off a podium position .. szabs moves up to be one spot behind him .. szabs, N-Bomb and PaulE have no weekly wins & no wooden spoons. PaulE and Dizart are still looking for their first bonus point.

This week's edition of musical chairs had 14 participants vs. the 16 who swapped places last week. The next round is mid-week: FLC [ 9 ] Tue 27th Sep.

BxBarracuda and trev1 are this round's weekly winners .. that's back-to-back wins for trev1. Both of them have now moved up to a podium position at equal third 3½ pts behind 1st .. trev1 was 9 pts in arrears two weeks ago back in 9th place.

After 4 weeks out front George95 moves aside to allow Sypher to take over front-running duties.

Two weeks ago LeoDaVinci was the weekly winner with 10/12 sitting in 4th place. Last week he collected a wooden spoon with 1/12 .. and this week he emulates that feat with another 1/12 and another wooden spoon, which sees him slip down the table to 11th place. His sole pick was Reading's away win. The other wooden spoon this week went to ozzz2002. He scored 1/12 the hard way .. his correct pick was a bonus-point solo pick!

After 9 weeks we still have a lot of movement in the standings. This week's edition of musical chairs had 16 participants (the field is 19 runners) vs. the 14 who swapped positions last week vs. the 16 the week before that.

Sypher extends his lead out front to 5 pts .. the biggest margin all season. The next 4 players were separated by 3 pts last week .. it's now just ½ a point. The gap back to the rest of us is now out to 4 pts (the gap was 1½ pts last week) .. and if it keeps growing this will become a race of 5 for the medals.

After 10 weeks movement in the standings is starting to slow down. This week's edition of musical chairs had 12 participants, down from 16 last week.

The three-way tie out front is no more. Last week it was a spoon, this week it's a win .. his third weekly win for the season sees Sypher return to sole ownership of the leader's spot.

The two players bringing up the rear retain their positions. Each of them collected their 6th wooden spoon for the season .. gtho4 collected his 3rd spoon for the season.

Three weeks ago the top 5 were separated by 5 pts. It then became 3½ pts and last week it was a mere 1½ pts .. this week it's back to 3 pts.

For the first time this season we had just one bonus point. Last week there were just two. The first four rounds at the start of the season saw 46 bonus pts!

We have a new leader .. paper_aero has knocked Sypher off his perch.

szabs is this round's weekly winner. It's her 3rd for the season and they've all come in the last 5 weeks .. szabs is now equal 2nd with Sypher just ½ pt behind the new leader .. 5 weeks ago she was 9½ pts behind back in 10th place (she was down in 16th place in week two).

Back in Round 10 the first 6 players were separated by 9 pts .. it's now 4½ pts (it was 3 pts last week and the week before).

The first nine have split themselves into three distinct groups of three .. the first three are separated by ½ pt, ditto the next three; and the final three are separated by a single point.

That's the end of Round 16 .. there are another 30 rounds before we see the finish post!

Once again, there are no changes out front .. Sypher scored 7/10 to extend his lead slightly as paper_aero and szabs, 2nd and 3rd, each scored 6/10.

The first three are slowly pulling away from the rest of us. George95 in 4th place drifted a further point back as he scored 5/10 .. he's now 6 pts in arrears.

dg_dave is this week's winner with outrageous picks
of 9/10 .. he was 9/9 going into the last game of the round, Barnsley v Palace, which was played earlier today. Palace equalised in the 33rd and from there dg_dave needed another Palace goal for a perfect 10/10. Barnsley scored the winner in the 77th to ruin a perfect pick.

Once again, there are no changes out front ..the first seven players all kept their spots from last week.

There were six HoF awards and two wooden spoons this week .. it was a first HoF for srini701, leaving us with three players still looking for their first .. and for PaulE it was his first wooden spoon, leaving us with four blanks in that column. The bonus picks column is done; it has been complete for a number of weeks.

There was just one bonus pick this week. N-Bomb consulted all the form charts and concluded WHU would lose at home to Burnely. He was the only one who foresaw this!

BxBarracuda scores back-to-back weekly wins, and is now a mere 2½ pts off the lead in 4th place .. he was 10½ pts behind the leader two weeks ago!

No change out front with the three leaders and no change at the rear with the two tail-enders. Between them, no-one kept their spot from last week except for ozzz2002, who kept the 14th rung on the ladder to himself despite the weight of yet another wooden spoon; his 4th spoon in the last seven weeks. Back in Round 13 he was on the 7th rung of the ladder, just 3½ pts behind the leader.

The other wooden spoon goes to srini701 .. last week he collected his first weekly win.

Six of the 12 games were picked by 3 or less tipsters, and most of us scored a paltry 3/12 or 4/12. How'd BxBarracuda pick 8/12 for a bonus point? I don't know. How'd the five with solo picks pick those results? I don't know.

Some of the results in this FLC comp as the weeks and weeks go by are simply mind-boggling. Maybe we should make solo pickers explain how they chose their outrageous picks! No explanation, and there's no bonus point. The word limit is 200 words, lol

That the end of Round 21 .. two more and we're, umm, half-way there! Some of us may need an oxygen tank to get us to the finish post.

paper_aerro collects his first wooden spoon for the season; which allows Sypher to skip away to a 2½ pt lead. That's six straight weeks with Sypher|paper_aero running one-two out front.

BxBarraccuda also collected a spoon .. this was a follow-up to back-to-back weekly wins. George95 collected the third spoon on offer this week.

dg_dave is this week's winner, his third HoF for the season (the last two have come over the last 4 weeks). Five weeks ago he was running third last, 17½ pts behind the leader and 17 pts off the podium .. he's now mid-table running 11th and the deficit is down to 12 pts and 8 pts.

With paper_aero collecting his first wooden spoon we're down to three players looking for their first spoon; ditto the weekly HoF award .. three players have a blank in that column.
