A few big blowouts and we pipped two of them across the board (Dallas over St. Louis and New Orleans over Indianapolis), and only three pipped the shutout by Kansas City in Oakland. Those three, as well as three others who tipped Atlanta to win in Detroit are the only ones picking up a bonus point, including N-Bomb, who picked four underdogs this week.
The top five are all separated by a point, with a few others breathing down their necks.
Rxbigdawg almost garnered a bonus point for near-perfect, but as there were only 13 games, he had to get one more...sorry.
Gillyharold failed to lodge tips, and since the higher of wooden spoon or six was again six, that is what he scored.
 A quick reminder: in a couple of weeks, we will again have Thursday games, which are noted with an asterisk, and those games must be in by the time specified (about two hours before kickoff) to count, else you will score zero for the Thursday games. No late tips will be accepted for those games!
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his home team throughout the season...he is 5-1 this year, 2 games better than his home team (3-3).

A weekly win sees srini701 regain the lead by two over toocool4u and dg_dave. Gtho4 is a further point back.
Only three bonus points went out this week, as just about all the home favorites won, and outside of a few, everyone only picked one or two underdogs.
George95 picked both teams to win in Baltimore, although since everyone else tipped Baltimore, George95 was given a "gimme" point for that. We almost all lost that point, wondering if Baltimore's D would hold up after falling behind by 21!

With the 49ers' schedule, there's no reason that they shouldn't finish 13-3, and that includes some mishaps. They still have five games left to play against the NFC West!

There is a reason I didn't go that far...
Can you get by Green Bay? In all honesty, that is the only team I can see the Niners having trouble against this season, and I still see GB winning that one.
If it is GB/SF for the NFC Championship, I'd pick GB (23 or 24)-20 or 20-17.

Still, I wasn't talking about the playoffs, just the seedings going into the playoffs. With NO and GB playing the way they are, I think it'll be a tough road to the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, I think that the top spot in the NFC and home-field advantage can be achieved.

I see Green Bay going 9-0 to end the season, after their 7-0 start...that, at least by my math, would put them 16-0!
I can feasibly see SF as the #2 or #3 seed. If New Orleans doesn't tank, it may be difficult to attain #2, but as long as SF is playing the way they are, they will definitely be #3.

Narrow score differential between weekly wins and Spoons (9-6), so anyone scoring seven or eight are empty-handed.
Ozzz2002 went out on a limb, twice. He hit paydirt on both, and has retaken the bonus point lead at eight. How did he know Miami would win that convincing? How also did he know Denver and Tim Tebow would beat Oakland in Oakland? 
PaulE did not get a bonus point due to picking only one underdog (Baltimore over Pittsburgh). Other tippers also only picked one underdog, but as none of them nailed a bonus, it did not affect them.

We have a new leader on our comp with KrivoyRog taking the top spot, and also moving into the lead with weekly wins at three. He's also skipped to a three point lead.
Ozzz2002 had his dartboard working overtime and hit paydirt on two games solo! He's also the first double digit bonus scorer.
This was our worst week tipping-wise as we did not hit 50% for the first time all season. At least we are better than the 0-10 Colts!
My prediction awhile back with posts between myself and LeoDaVinci may ring true...it may be the Niners and the Pack in the NFC championship game. We'll see if that actually happens though...8-1 vs 9-0...?

Many tippers broke the century mark next week, and almost all of us should next week, and all of us can if one does well.
PaulE failed to tip the Thursday game, and scored zero for it, however, he scored more than a few without it!
Two big games next week with the Pack playing in Detroit (10-0 v 7-3) and the Niners at Baltimore (9-1 v 7-3). Will the two teams with no more than one loss stay as such? One will stay at no more than one loss (Pack).
Only seven out of 22 didn't get double digit picks this week...maybe that's why we broke 70% as a whole, plus Sypher's 13 and ozzz's 12 help.
Speaking of 13 and 12, ozzz2002 is probably scratching his head wondering how HE didn't get the win with 12, although he did collect a bonus point for that 12/14 effort. Sypher just one-upped him with 13.
My prediction awhile back with posts between myself and LeoDaVinci may ring true...it may be the Niners and the Pack in the NFC championship game. We'll see if that actually happens though...9-1 vs 10-0...?
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his home team throughout the season...he is 9-1 this year, 3 games better than his home team (6-4).

A swap atop the leaderboard this week as srini701's near miss bonus point puts him ahead by that sole point.
Paper_aero and Dizart both failed to pick enough upsets, thus relinqushing their bonus point. Paper_aero only picked Arizona to win, and Dizart picked no upsets, although paper_aero did get the weekly win with his 14.
No bonus points were picked this week for upsets, although one game came close with four tipping correctly.
No upsets were won on the road this week, much to the dismay of LeoDaVinci, whose Niners fell to 9-2.
This was the only week where tips had to be super early. Next week's are back to just the first game by 5pm FT.

The chances of having our 12th different winner in 12 years is looking well, as the only one in the top five that has won this before is dg_dave. Also, gtho4 in 6th has.
There is a 50 word limit on why illiniman14 and ozzz2002 picked an 0-13 team to win...lol. Ozzz2002 also only has 50 on why he picked Houston to lose at home.
We dropped considerably as a group this week, from 75.3% last week to 52.3% this week.
†Both triviapaul and toocool4u did not tip the first game, but as everyone else picked it, they were both given a point for the game.
There are only two weeks left in our comp, then BxBarracuda/gtho4 will take over for the postseason...are you ready?
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his home team throughout the season...he is 12-2 this year, 4 games better than his home team (8-6).
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked.
Any inactive tippers who tip and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last (or the lowest active tipper)

Quite a bit of movement all over again this week, and most everyone scored ten or more.
There is a 50 word limit on why Sypher picked a 1-13 team to win against a 10-4 team...lol. As LeoDaVinci stated: "What was he thinking?"
I'm sure LeoDaVinci would be ecstatic to see a Niners win next week...best they can do is a 2 seed, and worst is a 3, since the Saints have the same record, but the Niners hold the tiebreaker.
There is still a decent chance that the NFL will continue its tradition of a new winner, but eventually, it will have to come to an end sometime!
No, rxbigdawg, you can't change to the Colts after the game has played.

After 17 long weeks and tips from 23 tippers, the NFL season has come to a close. We have our first ever repeat winner in the NFL comp...dg_dave. He won the 2007 comp, which also had 23 runners...is there something about the number 23? He barely pipped srini701, who almost kept the streak alive. If srini701 had picked up one more point, he would have dead-heated with dg_dave...3 weekly wins, zero Spoons, and seven bonus points.

Three tippers had three weekly wins, with paper_aero taking his third on the final post. The other two were KrivoyRog and dg_dave.
Ozzz2002 must have had his dartboard working overtime, since he was the only tipper to get more than ten bonus points. Next closest was toocool4u (who just missed a podium finish on a countback (paper_aero's +3 to 0 on weekly wins)) with eight.
The three podium finishers all picked up a near miss bonus point, as they were the only ones to pick 13. Paper_aero did one better by picking 14, and making both dg_dave and srini701 scratch their heads.
How did the comp organizer do against his home team this season? He went 14-2 this year, 6 games better than his home team (8-8), which is better than 31 of the 32 teams. He knew something about Tony Romo in January...much to the chagrin of Cowboys fans. Dallas will not be in yet again.
