Carriages waiting for customers in the heat of the summer

Yesterday evening I went to the last "Concert by the Bay" of the summer. At one point I turned away from the stage, and took this photo. Even though you can't really see the sailboat in the distance, I'm quite pleased with the overall effect (completely untouched).

Last April or May, I noticed that a packet of potatoes had a 7 or 8 which were starting
to sprout. Rather than waste them, I decided to plant them in a vacant strip of soil I'd recently
dug over, just to see whether they'd grow. From those few potatoes I got about 15 plants
come up and from those, half a bucket of potatoes of very varying sizes. Well I was impressed!



Look at that one monster-sized one. Big enough to make 2 jacket potaotes.

When I was looking at one of the other birds, a little girl asked what they ate - I couldn't bring myself to say "rabbits" so I said "tigers" and she laughed a lot. Then her younger brother arrived, with his face painted. As a tiger.

Three little piggies

If anyone's heard of Neasden (it is possible, it is quite well known in some circles) here's the North Circular near IKEA. It may look just like an ordinary road to you but it's my ordinary road!

All I did today was mow the lawn, so here's another pic from the fair the other day.

There are lots of beautiful photos and I have been very remiss in not commenting more. Sorry gang.

On an up note I have half sorted out my camera problems - I couldn't connect it to the computer, the connection is dodgy there somwhere. The temtaion to use it as a good excuse to buy a new camera at $550 for the one I wanted was fought and I ended up with a card reader for $22. lol

I'm going to go and take a pic right now. be right back. lol

I think it's the eyes, they just make him look so cute and appealing.
