The man came back yesterday and finished the garden. Today I have been to the garden centre so will start planting up later.

Are you sure that Gardener doesn't have an agreement with the Garden Centre, Sue?!

Well let us put it this way, I have just planted...

20 pansies in oranges and yellows
24 mixed F1 hybrid primulas
6 wallflowers
1 white Japanese anenome
I purple leaved sedum
3 cyclamens
1 lily of the valley - yes I finally got around to planting it!

It still looks empty but there will be some colour over the winter. They should all either self-seed or survive.

Back to my roots again, a train heading to Brent Cross (or Brent, as it was before the shopping centre opened in 1976) and beyond from Hendon Central. And it's no easy walk from the mall either especially with shopping.

We haven't yet reached the last day of September in this part of the world Ren. Please don't close it for at least 24 more hours.

Here's a sure sign summer is over - the ice boom being put back into place on the river.

That's what I meant by "it will end today".It is my way of warning everyone we are at the end of the month. Not meaning I am closing it NOW!

Precious has found yet another chair that she has claimed as hers, and settled down for a rest.
