I got ready to post ages ago, but I got sidetracked trying to get my boss to the airport - Could I post in an empty space, or am I out-of-luck??? Please??? Pretty please???

Hey Sypher, I want to challenge the scoring. You gave me 28 but I should have received only 14, since my word "SEXY" doesn't start with the last letter, Y, of Jabberwock's "DEXY."

Oops....thank you for your honesty...When I do the scoring it is first thing in the morning (6.30 -7.00am) and might be still on autopilot...so mistakes can happen. I will rectify that tomorrow when I score today's entries....

Thanks

I'm afraid I will have to challenge Karma's entry as it is a plural.

I just have to say that I had the day from **** yesterday, had a word and got it posted, then saw that the last time I had refreshed, it didn't work right and BagLady had posted before me, so I edited out my entry, thought about a new word, waited to see the response, continued on my day from ****, and finally in the car on I-35, on the way to get my daughter from daycare, 45 minutes late, I finally thought of a word to follow Baglady:
WEEDY
Just had to post in now on general principal.
Better luck next week.

Syhper...just checking something regarding the rules of the game...I see that EDGES was ruled out for plural, however when I went to post I first checked over the entries to amke sure it was ok... I saw that Dumpling had made the word "PEDES" and Chelseabelle had made the word "DEEMS"..are these not plural?...in terms of noun vs verbs then the word EDGES is a verb, (he edges along the ledge) and a noun...sorry about this but just a tad confused why mine was ruled out of these three words ending in S....cheers

I saw EDGES and though plural noun at first, but then I figured it was fine since it could also be EDGES-verb, which ya has been legal forever, so i didn't challenge.
I'm backing up kl on this one.

I was checking Karma's entry in the OED but couldn't find the word EDGES, but I did find EDGE (noun).....Ok...Karma will get the points for his entry as it is a verb...

Sypher: I think one of the rules should be that your word has to be able to be used in a sentence! I have seen words used in here that sure aren't in any dictionary that I have including the third Edition Scrabble Dictionary and the Websters New World Dictionary! I have even used that site that you suggested and a few of the words didn't show up in there either!! It's just a suggestion!! PF

I am in a good spot to win this week, so I hate to challenge on this but Scrabble dictionary, dictionary.com, yourdictionary.com; none of these sources have anything resembling the word REWVE.
Even google only returns 6 hits for that word, and the one site that is english, looks to me like a typo.
So, for better or worse (since I don't own an OED) I challenge.

ps not a challenge, just a question.
can you define ygazed for me?
thanks

*crosses fingers*

Sypher, why didn't I get any points for Lizard yesterday??? I posted it in time, and it starts with the last letter of the preceding word. This time, I really am confused.
I think I count 32 points???
