LOL....When an idea for a topic is first thought of...there are no grey areas...everything seems simple enough...UNTIL...you lot get your hands on it and slaughter it to pieces !! LOL

The problem with the first day of Snake is getting rid of grey areas...that is why the topic is posted in Saturdays. It gives anyone the chance to ask questions and to point out grey areas.

Lately, no-one has bothered, so come Monday...all hell breaks loose....maybe I should go back to posting the subject on sunday nights !! hehehehehee

Ooooooh Sypher Sypher Sypher!!! No-one would have questioned whether they could use the word links beforehand, because no-one would have imagined they would have been allowed to get away with it!

Also what is the answer to my question about "plantation" and "and"? Are you avoiding the issue in the hope it'll go away?

Mamaja, I think we're all going to need that snifter at the nineteenth. Make mine a Grouse & water, and go easy on the water!

I'm there, Somali. I'll have a Bahama Mama - make it a double - with lots of umbrellas, and even more rum!!! We'll make it through this week, or die trying!!!!
BTW, Sypher, I thought it was a great idea to post early for discussion. I just don't get a time slot on the computer at home, so my first glance is usually when I sit down at my desk on Monday morning. Sorry.

Sypher - I did post a question about (so and so) at (so and so) over the weekend. Remember? You said if it was the official name it would be ok. My entry is the official to distinguish between the other courses at the site. Some of them have different names. Some are named after famous golfers. I thought it was the name of the courses.

That comment wasn't aimed at you or anyone else...just a general comment. As to Ren's entry....it was the example and I think 'and' will not be included...Sorry

As for 'Links'....I will not score that either...

Thirty-four posts already and it´s only the first day? Holy moly, I hope the rest of the week smooths out...or I´ll be drunk with Somali and Mamaja at the end of the game! LOL

Sypher--I posted late due to the explanation in the game thread. If I mess anyone up, I´m sorry and please disregard my entry.

Btw, BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Somali on her debut!!!

Work has kind of caught up...I might not be able to post until later on my entry for today in Snake. Well, I've still got 2 hours before my time-slot runs out....but just in case...I will let you know....

Just a quick question as I'm rather hungover after last night's rave in the club-house (I never should have let Mamaja get me started on those Bahama Mamas - and what she was doing with those little umbrellas beggars belief!)

If National is an invalid word, can I safely assume that International is also a no-no, or would I be allowed 5 points for the Inter bit?

Sypher--Maybe all the nagging in this thread will help prepare you for marriage

They shouldn't let you guys drive golf carts after you've been quenching your thirst on that 19th hole. You drive like maniacs--yelling, "Fore" isn't enough. You really have to try to avoid hitting the golfers on the course! And, Mama, you should have told BagLady that if she was going to ride shotgun on your cart, she shouldn't have been swinging her golf club like a polo mallet. The poor golf pro she smacked in the butt won't be doing much sitting for a while.
Try and behave yourselves after today's round

Hey Chelseabelle - didn't know you witnessed our rampage with the golf cart. The last we saw of you, you were jumping into that sand-trap on top of that guy who looked like Sacha Distel on acid!

And Sypher - that excuse this morning about posting late 'cos work caught up with you. If you hadn't insisted on doing your "niblick waving" demonstration while standing on top of the bar, you wouldn't have had to wait for your bail to be posted at the cop-shop this morning!

Sypher, carrying around that chicken to lay golf balls for you is really cheesy. Let the moths out of your wallet and get a caddy!

I'm Challenging Partsdude's entry on two accounts....

No.1 and not that important...the name -

The official name is St. John's Academy Golf Club

The second is that it is ONLY 9-holes !!

I told Baglady to watch it with that pitching wedge, but would she listen to me? NOOOOOOooooooo!!! All I can say is that I need a bigger ice chest on my golf cart - and maybe a bigger golf bag - with a tap in it like Rodney Dangerfield had in "Caddyshack" - let's get rockin' on the green. This doesn't have to be a quiet game!!!!! And Somali, if you're good, I'll teach you how to balance the bahama mamas on your ear while you do the umbrella dance!!! Join on in, Fortunata. The more the merrier!!!

Oh I´m definitely in, Mama! The way this week is panning out for me at work I´m gonna need all the liquor I can muster come the weekend. LOL

Seriously though...I have a question. What if the venue has 36 or 27 holes? Could we use the specific course name then, Sypher?
