Fort, I added 'Golf Club' because of the rule:

"The following words do not count as points as most entries will end with these words...
Golf, Club, Centre, Course, Country, National, Municipal, Links & Resort or ANY Equivalent in a foreign language."

...."Please put them in your entry but not bold"....

As I stated earlier, my entry IS a GOLF CLUB: The name of it is:

Rheinhessen Hofgut Wißberg St. Johann

BL

Perhaps I´m not making myself clear on this, or perhaps it´s all in the way we´re enterpreting this.

I totally agree with Somali and BagLady in what they say, except that in this particular case Golf Club is at the BEGINNING of the entry and according to Sypher´s new rule which was added on the 13th (Tuesday) that would make BL´s entry invalid.

Again, here is what Sypher wrote:

--BTW...Entries have to start with a letter that counts as points, and not an entry that starts in brackets or an Invalid word !!--

It seems pretty clear to me. But maybe our interpretations of what constitutes an entry are differing. To me an "entry" is what is typed in the post...the whole thing, not just what appears in bold. Therefore, BL´s entire entry began with G (as it started with Golf Club) and not an R which is what the "name" of the venue is. Had she initially posted it as she did in this thread--Rheinhessen Hofgut WiBberg St.Johann e.V., Golfclub--then there would have been no need for a challenge.
Does this make any sense?

Somali--the fact that her first entry for this week was entered in the same way matters not because Sypher added his above rule on Tuesday, and I imagine he did it for a reason...although now that reason eludes me. The fact that he has agreed with Pinhead & I but has decided to rule against me (for whatever reasons) is what has me confused.

I hope BagLady understands that this is nothing personal, neither against her nor Sypher. To me it´s just a matter of principle.

Fortunata, I don't know how much principle matters in this game any more--particularly the principle of fairness.
Consider that I posted an an entry with a valid Web site to back it up (the URL is given in my last post)--yet Sypher didn't consider that enough to give me my full points. My Web source didn't mean anything to him.

But, when he then considers BagLady's entry invalid, and she produces a Web site to back up her entry, Sypher immediately hands her her points.

If that isn't treating different players in a different manner what is it? If that isn't applying the rules inconsistently, what is it?

I admire your stamina in arguing your point, Fort, but I think the word "principle" falls on deaf ears around here.

Fortunata, I'm probably wrong here then because I was regarding the bold bit as the "entry".
