Yep, I totally forgot about the plural rule. Sage, punish me as you will.

I guess my only answer, BagLady, would be that I can have the points but missed out on the points I could have had for another word along with it - like "stupendous sledgehammer."
Sage???

I think IŽll pass on the infamous rumaki. ThereŽs something about broiled chicken livers that makes my stomach cringe.

But IŽm definitely up for dipping my fries in a chocolate shake..
that sounds good!

There's something about any form of liver that makes my tastebuds cringe!

When I was younger I hated going to weddings. It seemed that all
of my aunts and the grandmotherly types used to come up to me, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped that
after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

somali, initially the thought of dipping doughnuts in whiskey seemed a bit strange to me at first but then I realized that there are thousands of cake recipes that call for sugar and whiskey in the recipe and there are also dishes like Pudding with Whiskey Sauce, etc. that do also. I guess dipping my fries in a chocolate milkshake is much stranger than dipping your doughnuts in whiskey. lol

Oh my - you all seem to believe that I would actually dunk my doughnuts in whisky! Can I just say for the record that I never have and never will dunk my doughnuts in whisky. Categorically not. No, never.

I used that image to illustrate just how discombobulated I was with the rules of Snake. Please tell me you are all on an organised wind-up!!

Oh, Somali, I would dip my doughnuts in whiskey, so don't worry. They just think you're as strange as I am.
On the subject of rumaki, I am also not wild about chicken livers. In my family we use smoked oysters instead. They're MAHVELOUS!!!!!
Drinks anyone????

Thank you for the party last night. It was a big success as usual. I'll take one of your famous Bloody Mary's please, you always make them exactly like I like.

I think we should all go over to Sagebrush's home tonight to cheer him and help take care of him since he hasn't been feeling well. Each of us can bring a dish for him to eat or one that he could freeze and then eat on another day. If each of us volunteers to do one thing to help him around the house, we'll be done in no time and Sage will know how much we care about him. I will volunteer to wash all his dishes and I will bring some of my famous chicken soup.

Ok, IŽll volunteer to drink his liquor...oooops, did I say that out loud? Heheheheh..silly me.

Oooh, I know! I volunteer to read and play board games with him to keep his mind off the pain.

I'm a great one for the comfort foods - Southern comfort too for that matter. I'll make Sagie some grilled cheese sandwiches, biscuits and gravy and homemade macaroni and cheese like mama used to make.
Somebody pour some hot toddies too, so Sage won't be drinking alone!!!!
Happy Friday everybody, thanks for being my friends. I'm feeling pretty lucky to know you guys!!

Challenge!

Sorry again, Mama, but Sage ruled on Day Two that any entry had to be 'specific in type'. DECORATIVE FIXTURE isn't.

BL

P.S. Love you, too! TGIF!

Mama - time to liven things up a bit! We haven't had anywhere near enough challenges this week, so I'm going to challenge your Decorative Fixture on the grounds that I don't know what you mean by it!

Aargh - BagLady beat me to the challenge by one minute! I must have been typing at the same time. Shriek, howl, whine, stamp my foot, flounce, pout, etc.

Well, there's all to play for now then BL - just when I was thinking how brilliant I was! LOL

Goodness - aren't we all a little snippy!!!!! LOL!!! And desperate??? Attacking the very lowest man on the score sheet!!! Well, I know we are supposed to be specific, and I was specific in my mind - I was envisioning brass things and wrought iron and you all should have been psychic enugh to know what I meant!!! But I'll take my lumps!!!!
Pour another double for me, JoJo. It's gonna be a long day!!!!!

Hey Mama - don't you just love the cut and thrust of it all?! I do like a bit of healthy competition.

Think I'm going to have to start dunking those doughnuts in whisky after all - to calm my nerves after all the excitement!

Somali, forgot to mention that on the time slot thing, there has always been some flexibility as long as no one is following immediately after BL - And JoJo doesn't come around for a while. But I'll defer to Sage.
Yep, dunk in the whiskey, and pour a stiff chaser. We'll survive!

Now I could be getting paranoid here, but it does seem as though whatever challenge I make based on Snake Rules (Final Edition) is discounted.

Rule 1 clearly states "All players must post their answer before their time-slot has finished or they will forfeit their points."

Now that, to me, seems pretty straightforward.

What is the point of having the Rules at all if no notice is taken of them?

I can concede (regretfully) on the "repeated word/entry" scenario, but do not see any ambiguity at all in the time-slot rule.

The Rules were made when Snake first started...over a year ago...In that time, the rules on the time-slot has relaxed a little. As long as there is no-one straight after...they get a little bit of leeway.

It's another one of those unspoken rules that you get to pick up whilst playing for a long time...Sorry if it is all confusing...

Sypher - nice to hear from you again, but these Rules are driving me nuts!

Speaking of "unspoken" rules, does that then mean that I get to share the challenge on Mama with Baglady, as we were both typing at the same time, a la Golf Course episode?

Hey Mama...guess IŽm on the same wavelength as you. When I saw your entry today I pictured brass & wrought iron stuff. DonŽt worry though, weŽll get Žem next week!

Your Mardi Gras cake sounds delicious, IŽll have a slice...no liver, right? LOL

Has anyone heard how Sage is doing?

somali....sorry about the 'time' thing. The last time I checked, Binky was on time...he's now running 5 minutes fast. Obviously, he's been drinking too much coffee again!

LOL!! This game is cracking me up completely! I can see that having a logical mind is of absolutely no use whatsoever here!

Could you all do me a favour? Let me know before the start of next week if there are any other quirky little non-rules I should know about? eg. "Any challenge made during a full moon will be invalid unless Celtic win at home to Rangers." Or "Challenges made when there is an "r" in the month are only valid if made while standing on a chair wearing a Viking helmet."

Anyway, well done BagLady on your superior grasp of ludicrous by-laws!

PS: We're now off for a night on the razzle, so I will see you all next week. Have a good weekend everybody!!LOL

For your general knowledge, just remember Somali that all entries are void until the second tuesday of the week, when we will decide whether to award you the win.
And winner buys!!!!
Happy weekend everyone!!!
Love,
Mama
