CarolinaCarol,
your word has to be in onelook.com to be a Pyraword
I can't find it in there

I found it through a link given by onelook.com to yourdictionary.com... Does that count?

I will rule that only Onelook is valid.
It's always been that way, so although the rules could read that any word is valid if it can be proven on any dictionary site, I don;t want to change them.
I figure that would just to lead to too much work. eh heh eh eh

So, sorry CC, but yourdictionary.com is not valid.

oh ya, I'm heading over to start the next ROUND in a second here

There appear to be strange things happening with the clocks in here......I posted 15 hours after my last post but it doesn't look like that in the thread. The clock now appears to be 12hrs behind UK time.

Did the rest of you all notice how ONELOOK has changed over this last week?

They added a crazy amount of foreign dictionaries.
This is too bad, because now, a player can receive "false hits". (Words that are "defined" in English, but that are definately NOT english)
*sigh*
Well, I have been meaning to amend the rules for about two weeks now anyway.

Any suggestions/comments?

A big thanks to PLING for getting the ball rolling for MATCH 5!!

Players will please note that I restarted the thread for MATCH 5, so as to include CURRENT RECORD HOLDERS, and links to previous Matches.
Please use my thread for playing in MATCH 5.
thanks

Pling,
you emailed me asking a about how I keep the scores.
I use a spreadsheet, which formats fairly well, when you enclose it inside the {code}{/code} UBB codes.
Do you have MS EXCEL on your system? (That is the proggy I use.)

to all others,
Last couple days I have been AWOL from funtrivia altogether.
sorry 'bout that. But it happpens, eh?

PLING,
hope you got that Excel sheet that I emailed you??

CAROLINACAROL:
That is the first time I have ever seen two people post at the exact same time.
You will receive a point for your entry, and we will carry on with my entry, since GTHO4 played off of it.

DW,

2 points is earned, when a word stays unchanged for 24 hours. Every other entry is worth 1 point.

A "MATCH" ends at the end of the month. The last round is allowed to start with a 3 letter word, right up until 11:59 pm of the last day of the month.
If there is an active round under way when 11:59 pm hits, then that round becomes the last round.

that make sense? haven't had my coffee/nic hit yet this a.m
