We have had quite a few of these meet-ups over the years, and they are always good fun, so here is another one to add to your calendar.
When? Saturday, January 14, 2012.
Time? Probably around 5pm, but flexible.
Where? City Extra at Circular Quay. Close to transport, close to attractions, not too pricey, but most importantly, they will not impose a time limit on us. We can stay there for hours (and usually do!).
Who? Everyone is welcome, including 'significant others'.
What now? Just reply to this thread, or send me a PM.
If you cannot make it, we have been known to ring FT people all over the world (and usually at rather odd hours)- if you would like to take advantage of this 'service', please let me know!

Wish I could, but the time differential this go 'round wouldn't work for me. 5pm in Sydney for me this time of year is midnight Dallas time.
Hope y'all have fun (sorry, that's my Texan coming out lol).
Edit to add: I had a get-together of my own today. A friend flew in from Los Angeles and came by my workplace today. After 15˝ years, it's hard to catch up on a long period like that in 15 minutes! I'm hoping it isn't as long next time...and I'm sure she is thinking the same (she has a boyfriend lol)

I'll be there  SilverFish45 and hubby send apologies as they'll be away.. on a cruise. Lord knows, as much as I love you all, I wouldn't pass up a cruise for an FT dinner

About three metres south of the ferry terminal! It is directly beneath Circular Quay station. Make sure you don't walk into Hungry Jacks which is right next door.

Salami, they are 18 hours ahead of you. It only means you'd have to leave 18 hours earlier to get there on time But I still have to find the cash to get a passport, a plane ticket, a hotel, meals, and a plane ticket back... :P Of course, I do know someone who has told me that I could always stay with him if ever I were to visit Australia. So the hotel and meals would be taken care of (his mom is an excellent cook). But still, I can't get there with minimum wage page. :P
