I didn't know there was anything but white...that's all I've ever seen.

edit to add: just over eight hours left until commencement!

The normal one is milk chocolate, then you can get dark chocolate and then white chocolate - that is harder to find in the shops and in particular in Australia.

I've never seen white Toblerone....

Thanks, too, to Tezza. Maybe we should have an Aussie-wide shindig, somewhere central; how does Alice Springs sound? This is one of the few occasions that I am a bit envious of the English- everywhere else in England is so close by.

That's odd since I've not seen milk/dark chocolate. Maybe I will have to look for those.

When Jill (Copago) came to London some years ago I flew over to meet her and various FT members travelled to London as well, we had one from the south coast, one from the east coast and others from the home counties.

When Terry was in England with his wife and daughter he just happened to be travelling past the city where my daughter lives so we were able to meet up in a shopping mall for some lunch.

The only time I've seen white chocolate Toblerone here in Oz was when husband Steve brought some back from Switzerland - along with a dark chocolate peppermint 'chip' flavour.
I'll have to go hunting and stock up when I'm visiting The Continent in September.

Lunch in London sounds like fun.

It was lovely to meet up with you all and to put faces to names. I was immediately made to feel welcome even though I am not a very active member of these boards.

Is it over?

A very pleasant night was had by all. We had two debutantes, eraserhead from Sydney and Scottie2306 all the way from Canberra. The others at the table were Copago, Tizzabelle, gtho4 and myself. We had a sumptuous meal, and the conversation was non-stop.

True to form, we carried on with all sorts of trivia stuff- have YOU ever tried to name all 50 American states after a few beers? We found 51!

Hopefully we will have another one in a few months. Stay tuned...

Was great to meet Tizzabelle, Eraser and SCottie and see Ozzz again. I'm afraid that GT's watch must have been broken as I had to leave before he got there.(Sorry to miss you G) Was good fun!
