JW....Your time slot is 8:30-9:00 (real time). The FT clocks were never changed to reflect daylight savings, and everyone's been going with that for a couple of months. I wondered why you were always posting so late! lol

Sorry, but you were in my time slot this time!

but, but hold on a second!
I used to be 09:30-10:00 when funtrivia was on Eastern Time.
When the clocks changed, but funtrivia didn't, I asked Sypher to move my slot because I thought all TIMESLOTS were based on FUNTRIVIA time. (NOT Eastern)
I have always, always posted between 06:30-07:00 my time (which is Pacific Zone), because that is the last half hour in the mornings before I go to work. (Have a look at the TIMESLOTS thread. You will see my first ever slot was 09:30-10:00, and that I changed it only after FUNTRIVA clocks didn't "spring forward".
I did just notice that the TIMESLOT thread claims that all times are based on EASTERN time, but that was when FUNTRIVIA was also EASTERN time. I always just assumed the TIMESLOTS listed were in FUNTRIVIA TIME...

SYPHER, we need your input here...
I want KAZAK!

eh heh eh eh
Definately not an easy spot that we have managed to put you in.
My last words on this are these.
Right now, is the only timeslot I can play in, so I am a bit concerned, because If in fact this is BL's timeslot, then her and I are going to have to work out a change. (i.e she allows me back into this timeslot). Otherwise, I won't be able to play, until the clocks "fall back". ( I can;t get up half an hour earlier in the morning just to post, sorry. Plus no other time of day is ever a guarantee)

*whew* where's my coffee?

As for the rest of this week, I will stay out of this time slot, and try my best to jump in later (maybe around midnight FUNTRIVIA TIME)

ttfn

it's all

Sypher..........for your consideration:

Of course I have no way of knowing if JW is from the U.S., but anyone from the U.S. would know what time it really is.

For the last couple of months we've all been playing by the rules and FT time.....and as far as I can see, no one has had a problem with the actual time.....until now.

If JW wants 8:30-9:00 AM, then all posts from JW should reflect this time.......not 9:30-10:00.

Thank you.

ok...I'm seriously confused with the time....
JW...what country are you playing from ?
What time in your country would you like ?

To both BL & JW...Since everyone has been playing the same times before DST (Daylight Saving), then in theory there shouldn't be a problem since everyone's time-slots have shifted by an hour. So, BL is actually playing 1 hour before her go (I think)

This shouldn't be a problem...and can be easily solved, once I get my head around the time-zones again...lol

Lol, Sypher

O.K., let's look at it this way. We are going by U.S.A. Eastern Time. If you go to http://www.what-time-is-it.com
and plug in United States, Boston, MA (which is where FT is), you will see the correct time.

When I post in my time slot of 9:30-10:00 A.M., that is the actual time. Terry never adjusted the FT clock, but that doesn't mean I'm posting at the wrong time!

Let's hear what JW has to say. His time slot is 8:30-9:00...(real time)....I'll be glad to move to another time slot to accomodate him, as long as I know for sure when he's actually going to post (8:30 or 9:30).

Thanks.

ok, this can't be that hard to get right.
I am in CANADA, and I live in the PACIFIC time zone.
I am well aware that funtrivia in based in the EASTERN time zone, which is exactly 3 hours later than me. (So right now in Boston, it is 11:53 p.m)
All this talk of "real" time, and "actual" time is nonsense. (Not meaning to sound mean here BTW)
quote:

Of course I have no way of knowing if JW is from the U.S., but anyone from the U.S. would know what time it really is.

I mean what is time? When did it start and who's to say what time it "really" is. (ok that was meant to sound funny, not sarcastic)

I guess my point is this:
I base everything off of funtrivia time.
I assumed (wrongly so in this case) that any game that used "timeslots", listed those slots in "funtrivia" time.
All was fine and dandy, until Daylight Savings kicked in everywhere but in "funtrivia" time. That was when the confusion took over.

As I said in my earlier post (a couple before this one), I used to post in the 09:30-10:00 timeslot. Then when funtrivia did NOT "spring forward", I asked to switch my timeslot.
I have always, always played this game at 06:30-07:00 MY TIME (PACIFIC). That used to be 09:30-10:00 funtrivia time, but as we all know, it no longer is. Now when I post at 06:30-07:00 PACIFIC, it shows up on the Bulletin Board as 08:30-09:00.
Therefore, I asked to switch my timeslot. (This can all be seen in the "time-slot" thread. My first post asked for 09:30-10:00 slot, then later, after the whole Daylight Savings fiasco, you can see I then asked to have my timeslot changed.

*whew* What a mess this has become

By no means, am I upset at BL, or Sypher, or even GTHO4 (just had to mention someone else there *grin*)

Have I made my position clear yet? Man, I hope so, because I don;t know what else I can say on this topic. Actually, I do...

Go, look at the "time-slots" thread.
SYPHER last posted that

quote:

Well Considering FT used to be US Eastern Time....the times reflect Funtrivia Time.

That is how it should be, and if only funtrivia had "sprang forward" like the rest of us all did, this would NOT have ever become an issue!
Last and final words from me are:
Funtrivia time, IMO, is the real time.

*double whew*
