ok, this can't be that hard to get right.
I am in CANADA, and I live in the PACIFIC time zone.
I am well aware that funtrivia in based in the EASTERN time zone, which is exactly
3 hours later than me. (So right now in Boston, it is 11:53 p.m)
All this talk of "real" time, and "actual" time is nonsense. (Not meaning to sound mean here BTW)
quote:
Of course I have no way of knowing if JW is from the U.S., but anyone from the U.S. would know what time it really is.
I mean what is time? When did it start and who's to say what time it "really" is. (ok that was meant to sound funny, not sarcastic)
I guess my point is this:
I base everything off of funtrivia time.
I assumed (wrongly so in this case) that any game that used "timeslots", listed those slots in "funtrivia" time.
All was fine and dandy, until Daylight Savings kicked in everywhere but in "funtrivia" time. That was when the confusion took over.
As I said in my earlier post (a couple before this one), I used to post in the 09:30-10:00 timeslot. Then when funtrivia did NOT "spring forward", I asked to switch my timeslot.
I have always, always played this game at 06:30-07:00 MY TIME (PACIFIC). That used to be 09:30-10:00 funtrivia time, but as we all know, it no longer is. Now when I post at 06:30-07:00 PACIFIC, it shows up on the Bulletin Board as 08:30-09:00.
Therefore, I asked to switch my timeslot. (This can all be seen in the "time-slot" thread. My first post asked for 09:30-10:00 slot, then later, after the whole Daylight Savings fiasco, you can see I then asked to have my timeslot changed.
*whew* What a mess this has become
By no means, am I upset at BL, or Sypher, or even GTHO4 (just had to mention someone else there *grin*)
Have I made my position clear yet? Man, I hope so, because I don;t know what else I can say on this topic. Actually, I do...
Go, look at the "time-slots" thread.
SYPHER last posted that
quote:
Well Considering FT used to be US Eastern Time....the times reflect Funtrivia Time.
That is how it should be, and if only funtrivia had "sprang forward" like the rest of us all did, this would NOT have ever become an issue!
Last and final words from me are:
Funtrivia time, IMO, is the real time.
*double whew*
