Welcome to SnakeTalk...blah blah blah (Getting bored repeating the same things each week....Can anyone come up with an interesting start ?)

BIG Congrats to Bridelady on her fantastic win. Your new leader will address the nation of Bridelady soon. lol

Extra Rules

Nice and simple topic this week. Same rules apply about words found in brackets. Put them in the entry....they just don't count as points. The bracketed words CAN NOT be used to start off entries.

Good morning Sypher - that was an obscure little entry you found there - I was expecting a much better known one ending in "Y". Are you a particular fan of the BeeGees and their component parts?

Nope...not a Bee Gees fan....but the entry you had was gonna be my 'E' entry if I had ever got an 'E'. I should have started the game with an 'E'...lol

A's are very hard to find....So give them to Bridelady !! LOL

Now then Sypher - are you trying to stir up trouble again?! LOL

Anyway it's not usually down to me to provide letters for BL - it's normally zozo after me now (or Auschic, if she's started playing again).

BTW, how did the wedding go at the weekend?

My sister's wedding is next week but there was a special service layed on at the synagogue this weekend. Lot's of food and wine was supplied by the families for the rest of the community (who turned up) to eat after the service.

Helped my sister move all of her things into her new house at the weekend...my back is killing me now. Didn't realise how much stuff she has gathered over the years !!

I won't be around next Monday as I will be suffering from the night before. Once that has gone....the next big thing will be my wedding !! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!

Sounds a good idea - your sister gets two wedding parties for the price of one!!

Getting back to Snake, am I right in assuming that descriptive titles from soundtracks are not included, such as "Jane surprises Mr Rochester as he emerges from the Secret Room"?

Congratulations, Bridelady!! They can't blame it on me any more. And I wasn't last, so good week all around!!!!
Great topic, Sypher! I have an idea for a topic in my feeble little brain - I'll send you soon for consideration. Maybe totally unworkable, but one we've never touched.
Glad you mentioned your wedding, I wondered if I missed the festivities - and teasing you. PapaKa and I hit the 19 year mark May 28th, married, that is. A couple 22 years - more than half our lives. Scary!!!!
Also, we shipped our baby (two weeks shy of 17 years old) down under yesterday - any words of comfort for Mama? Sending our #2 son your way, Sypher, next Monday. Then a second honeymoon if we can find somewhere to stash the 3-yr-old!!!!
Hey, Bridelady, where are you? Scared of that "E" no doubt??

Mama....I'm sorry I wasn't able to let you know I'd be gone this morning. We were called away suddenly on a family matter, and didn't get home 'till a while ago.

I'll sneak a post in shortly, as soon as I can find one, and hopefully I won't let my sleep-deprived brain mess it up! lol

Sypher....Can the song titles be instrumentals, or do they have to be vocals? Thanks.

Hi everyone!

I see BL is back to her old self again..Congrats on the win!

I have a question for Sypher (surprise surprise). Can the names be found within a word in the entry? For example, Dixieland or I Saw the Angels...

I see bracketed portions of songs have been ruled out..Drat!
I“d found a couple of doozies...oh well.

The name has to be able to stand on it's own...not part of a word like Fortunata's example. As for instrumentals...I have posted a ruling in the main game thread about that.

I'm gonna have to challenge Fort's entry. I don't see a girls name anywhere in there.

Hey guys.............are we not being a little bit silly? I mean Roses is simply the plural of Rose, isn't it? I was at a wedding recently where almost everyone was named Rose. lol

LOL! Sorry guys, maybe I should have clarified my entry. Roses is not meant to be the girl“s name...it“s Darling. I have a friend by that name.

Unusual name but not unheard of. Do we get to see her passport for verification ? LOL

Hmmmmm........interesting. Do I hear the sound of a can-opener about to release some worms?? LOL

Like annie and eyeball, I would never have thought of the word "Darling" as a girl's name. Also according to your reply to Fort's first post, the Roses part wouldn't be valid as a name because it doesn't "stand on its own". The name is Rose, not Roses.

I have a friend called Isobel who's always referred to as just "Is". If that's the only criteria needed for a valid entry I'm sure I can find an extremely high scoring one with "is" in it somewhere! LOL

There is always someone who wants to cause trouble !!

Actually....Fortunata...Does your friend spell her name the same as your entry ?

Are there other ways of spelling Darling???

Well I suppose there could be the Cockney version "Darlin'" or the German version "Darlink" or the Japanese version "Darring"! LOL
