I made a couple of parchment cards using images from a craft CD, it wasn't intended to be for parchment but I thought that I would experiment. Having made a couple of cards I posted them on the forum of the company who produces and markets the CDs. Today I received a message from the artist who lives in America, it was quite a shock. She is a well known artist particularly in the US, her art is on all manner of items.

My sister has recently taken up quilting as a hobby, so I "made" a quilt for her birthday card.

Thanks. It was fun to make, and I was able to use some of the papers (double sided) that I got in "grab bags" (which I can't resist ). My sister quite liked it too.

I did this today, guess what it is supposed to be. It is my first attempt at anything like this so it isn't perfect. I used polychromos pencils on parchment.

I like it!

I usually stick to the one design and make lots of them so it's not really too time consuming coming up with the ideas. For me it seems to take as long to design a card than to make it .. so I tend to make a few if i get on a good thing!

I haven't made all my cards yet, I made a load then started on those I give to the Salvation Army.

This year some people might (will) be getting a printed one, one that our local hospice have printed to raise money, I designed it and they gave me three packets.

Playing at colouring on parchment again. I am not convinced that a light colour cat was the best choice, perhaps I will work on a darker one next time.
