I know some of you will be mad, but I did not include any boyband new style pop because it wouldn't feel right. Thanks, Slayer42473 [Smile] [Razz] [Big Grin]

Please do NOT shout.

Why do we appear to have three similar threads? Could they not have all gone in one thread?

Well Slayer, I know you feel strongly about this, but it was kind of odd to see you apologize to younger members for your choices in all caps!
You have been pretty enthusiastic lately though.
I'm still contemplating the fifty thing. I just don't think I could limit myself to fifty.
So you do have a few threads going, take it easy.

I think he just wants everybody to see his second post. After such a long post before, maybe some people would go very quickly and not see his second post that is just after his first...?

That's probably it. But the problem is that we try to avoid posting things on the same subject several times.

For the most part agree. I was seeing too many new stuff on a 'top 50 of ALL time'. As far as soundtracks, the 'Staurday Night Fever' soundtrack over 'Grease'? Really?? Just wondering. Don't want to open this up to a lot of nitpicking, but Olivia beats the BeeGees anyday!

O.K. you guys, that was it. I will post no more top 50 stuff. If I ever post anything else, it will be a different topic. These are all albums that I pulled out of my head. Some of the stranger choices have sentimental value,i.e. "Red-Headed Stranger" and "Saturday Night Fever". Tell me what you think of the choices I made over all. I promised diversity, and you got it. I based all of my decisions on what I would like to listen to. P.S. To those of you that gave me input for the list, Thank You, yes even the teenie boppers. But in closing, Grease was the most horrible movie musical ever. I despise it with a passion. I do however love John Travolta movies. [Smile]

So how about doing us a favour and going back to that second post and edit it to stop it looking as if you are shouting?

I guess Olivia isn't everyone's cup of tea, huh?
I think that's the only place I could stand Travolta! What can you say? Sometimes you're in the mood for schmaltz and sometimes you're not.

One last thing is that some of my best friends and, um er, relatives are teeny boppers so please, the music forums are open to all ages and in fact, we'd like everyone to feel comfortable.

Never forget that one person's music is another's worst nightmare.

The caps thing does look rather odd, I hope you can get around to fixing it Slayer as I'm sure you didn't mean to shout, right?

To all of the younger users of this forum, my intent is not to offend anyone. I know that a lot of people didn't like my music when I was a teenager. I don't type in all caps to appear to be screaming, or angry. When I use all caps it is to catch everyone's attention. Thanks a lot to everyone, esp. Bruyere. You make a great forum babysitter LOL. Have a great day you guys [Big Grin]

Again, to all of you, please accept my apology for creating this list. I became obsessed with it. I was wrong to limit myself to 50. Also I would like to apologize to all of the teenagers on this forum. My intent was never to offend anyone. Everyone is welcome here. This is one of the only places you can go on the internet without fear of foul language and pornography. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Everyone here is very friendly. I want to help keep it that way. Have a great day ya'll. Slayer42473. [Big Grin]

It's ok! No hard feelings Slayer!
The only time I really got riled was one of our folks here said that anyone who listened to X was stupid and brainless and blablabla.
I am not tolerating that ever again.
So folks can accuse me of getting on my high horse for nothing, but I do maintain we can say the group drives us up a wall, but the people who listen to it, have as much right as anyone else to their opinions.

Ask Superfurryanimal how he and I met on here! We had the techno debate of the century!
I even broke down and listened to a bit more, as I'd only spent ten hours driving with some co workers who tried to convince me and the other co worker it was great.
I think I decided I could see why the only way people listened to it was on drugs!
But that's my opinion.
