When we went on holiday in June I bought a copy of Q magazine with a covers CD included. There were some interesting ones - I particularly enjoyed the Sugababes' version of Arctic Monkeys' "I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor".
However this CD also contained one of the worst musical atrocities it has been my misfortune to encounter. The Magic Numbers' cover of The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" is without doubt one of the most heinous acts of musical butchery ever. I wasn't really a fan beforehand but now I hate them with a passion which can only be dreamed of.
