Oohh, I was gonna say "Crush" by DMB too. Shucks. Um, how 'bout "Crash into Me" (the best "dirtiest" love song)?!

"Pulling Touch"--Poi Dog Pondering You are a butterfly and my eyes are needles the cold has your breast and my hand is one fire. You resting and reposing my veins are pulsing. And nothing can cure me but your pulling touch. I'll strech you out and lay along side you Run my hands along, devour and divide you. In the cool of the night under a rain pelted roof Beneath cotton white linen our Love is split. You are a cup that I hold by the cheekbones I pull close and I drink you up.

Jeff Buckley, Lamb, "All the time in the world", "Nothing compares 2 U", the Auteurs (some of us have heard of them)! What quality! Mine has to be "Northern Sky" by Nick Drake. I've never felt magic crazy as this, Never saw moons that knew the meaning of the sea, Never held emotion in the palm of my hand, Or felt sweet breezes in the top of a tree, But now you're here. Brighten my northern sky. Check it out if you don't know it it'll melt your heart. Everyone should have or have had a person this song is about.

Hi, just noticed this thread, immediately thought of "Longer" by Fogelberg and then said, "bet Malizma's put it up, if she's a true fan and she is!" Sure enough! We'll have to put up some lyrics to prove it. Otherwise, for me, "Like Jesus to a Child" George Michael

Roberta Flack's rendition is the best, nobody will ever equal it! I'd have to say that's one of my top love songs. "When We Dance" by Sting and the Police isn't bad.

lol, i know im kinda late in replying to this thread, but..what the heck. i just came across it. wow, im amazed someone not belonging to my circle of friends has actually heard of Lamb. and "Gorecki" happens to be one of their most beautiful songs. another good choice was "Lover you should have come over" by jeff buckley (swoon!). but the most romantic song, in my opinion, is from a british trip-hop duo named Alpha. the sond is called "Sometime Later". its kind of loungy, burt bacharach-like. it starts calmly, but the music swells, and the singer's voice intensifies, cracking under all the emotion, then dies down again at the end. lol, ive been told that it even sounds like the guy is having an orgasm during the song

You're all wrong. Most romantic song hands down is "Tender Love" by the Force M.D.'s. That's it, this topic's finished. Don't even bother replying unless you agree

How can you beat this effort from Van Morrison ? Have I Told You Lately?
Have I told you lately that I love you Have I told you there’s no one above you Fill my heart with gladness Take away my sadness Ease my troubles, that’s what you do
Oh the morning sun in all it’s glory Greets the day with hope and comfort too And you fill my life with laughter You can make it better Ease my troubles that’s what you do
There’s a love that’s divine And it’s yours and it’s mine Like the sun at the end of the day We should give thanks and pray to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you Have I told you there’s no one above you Fill my heart with gladness Take away my sadness Ease my troubles, that’s what you do
There’s a love that’s divine And it’s yours and it’s mine And it shines like the sun At the end of the day we will give thanks And pray to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you Have I told you there’s no one above you Fill my heart with gladness Take away my sadness Ease my troubles, that’s what you do
Take away my sadness Fill my life with gladness Ease my troubles that’s what you do Fill my life with gladness Take away my sadness Ease my troubles that’s what you do.

Wow, I love antique threads!
Got to be 'Close to you' by the Carpenters, I can listen to that one over and over again.

Another name and almost three years ago I thought "Drift Off to Dream" by Travis Tritt was the answer to this question. I still do.

I can't believe there's no Beatles offerings, if for no other reason then there are so many to chose from!
