Harlem Nocturne

This is one of the most beautiful haunting melodies you'll ever hear. It has to be on a saxophone to be good.
It was one of my favorites in my repertoire and I can still get it on my flute but it's nowhere near the same!

Leave It To Me, Herb Ellis

If I said I'd been on stage with this jazz guitarist at one point, you'd never believe me, but I was with the jazz ensemble I played in. He was great!
Just tack on another ten minutes to my minutes of glory!
Ok there were about 15 of us in the band but he was a true showman and great guy.

Gil Scott Heron's Grandfather played for the famous Glasgow Celtic! How many funk/soul/rap pioneers can say that?
