I noticed there was a Top 5 catagory in movies and thought that there should be one in music too. What are your top 5 favorite songs (popular or not) of all time??

The Bump - Kenny
Chinese Laundry Blues - George Formby

Would a person actually need any more music than this?

Sorry! Please visit elderly list further down the list of topics!

Vincent - Don Mclean
Imagine - John Lennon
Smoke Gets in Your Eyes - 1920's

Anybody else love these songs?

Almost Heaven - John Denver
Sweet Child of Mine - Guns and Roses
Come Monday - Jimmy Buffett
Piano Man - Billy Joel
God Gave Rock and Roll To You - Kiss

There are a lot more I could name. Music is a portal to another time. I listen to a song and it usually takes me to a certain time/event. It reminds me of the good times, bad times, sad times and happy times. It is amazing the role music plays in our lives. That is probably why I have got to with DANTE on this one and add American Pie as a sixth. Keep the music playing....

I just read yours and thank goodness between us all we have lots of choices! Don Mclean was indeed a genius.
Lots of your choices gave me goosebumps but the good kind!

What else did you expect from me?

This is going to be difficult - only five!!! Ok, let me see...

1. "Drowning" - Backstreet Boys
2. "What Made You Say That" - Shania Twain
3. "Queen Of My Heart" - Westlife
4. "There's Your Trouble" - Dixie Chicks
5. "Disco 2000" - Pulp

My top five seems to change hourly, although I do love these songs!

Oh God! I posted my top five songs above, but I've got to include a couple more songs (OK, that defeats the object of a "TOP FIVE", but I have to do this!)

"I Feel Fine" - The Beatles
"Every Little Thing She Does" - Lonestar

OK, I feel better now!

Oh, and I also LOVE "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" by Andy Williams. It's soooooooo difficult just selecting five - I have failed miserably! Hahaha!
