Last night I was dashing out in the car to pick up my child, dodging motorcycles in the middle of the road and slightly stressed, and they put a beautiful set of songs on for me!

Number one, "Something" by the Beatles...
(Of course I was singing it, who could resist!)
Number two: "You've Got a Friend" James Taylor's version. Carole King is the person I probably resembled in voice and appearance during high school. And the song is pretty.

Then the announcer came on with the kindest most pleasant American voice and I just felt so much better...
Music does have sounds to sooth the savage beast!

I don't think that there has been a time in my life when "Something" hasn't helped me out (and I have had moments of severe angst!! ) There's just something about it (pardon the pun) that is intrinsically beautiful...

...or maybe I'm just getting all girly?

What's wrong with being a girl?

I put a Beatles thread in the memories section as well as the Harrison section here.
