Hi! I was wondering, how many songs can you think of, which include the name of a town, city, state, country or continent in the title? Good luck!

There is the not highly acclaimed song "South Street" by the Orlons. Also, "Gary Indiana" from the movie The Music Man. And Randy Newman's "I Love LA".

Patti Page had a million-selling hit back in 1956 with "Old Cape Cod", though the "quaint little cottages here and there" she sang about are all probably replaced by motels and other tourist traps! tjoeb};>

If I let loose there would be literally hundreds so to be a bit different heres some from the land down under;
Have you ever been to Kings Cross? (Bob Hudson -don't know whoo sung it originally)
The Newcastle Song (Bob Hudson)
Toorak Cowboy (Skyhooks)
Balwyn Callin' (Skyhooks)
Australiana (Austen Tayshus) -actually made No 1 here in 1983.
Tenterfield Saddler (Peter Allen)
Mallee Boy (John Williamson)
From St Kilda to Kings Cross (Paul Kelly)
This is Australia (Gangagang)- originally entitled "Sounds of then" but was re-recorded and renamed to become a tourist promotion song for Australia.
Australian Girls (Mike Judd)
Santa Claus never made it to Darwin (Bill and Boyd)

There's a few. Shows the Aussies poor music tastes.
