Not being entirely stupid it hasn't escaped my notice that my favourite singer Mariah is not exactly popular on these pages! I guess she needs her fans more than ever this past year so I wondered how many of you were willing to admit to being Mariah fans?
Please- not anti- Mariah messges here- we've had plenty of that on several threads already!

I'm not anti-Mariah, I miss old school Mariah. I love her old stuff. However, I am guilty of cracking Mariah jokes here and there-- I just can't imagine that I used to think of her as a wholesome woman.
I was speaking with a four-year old and the little girl said that Mariah looked like a clown-- it was the infamous day she came on MTV, looking as high as a kite, passing out Popsicles in a ridiculously skimpy outfit (maybe a day before her “breakdown” if I’m not mistaken). I started telling her about how wholesome she used to be and after defining the word (as being clean-cut and innocent looking), the girl cracked up-- she thought I was joking. I thought that was hilarious.
However, don't get me wrong, I think that Mariah ties with Mary J. Blidge and Celine Dion as being the ultimate diva of the '90's (maybe not so ultimate if she ties with two other people, but you get what I'm saying).
I sing and hum her old songs almost everyday, I love her old stuff so much. However, the stuff that she has been putting out lately has been an insult to her talent. She's very talented, I just wished that she would flaunt her talent even more-- like she used to.

I am a Mariah fan.
