Apparently, today is National Pie Day. I suppose we're all supposed to go out and eat a slice of pie or something! I'll have apple, thank you. With a big dollop of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla melting on top.

My local DJ is always really good about coordinating things like this with the music he then plays. So, when he announced that it was National Pie Day, I knew the next song he'd play would be, of course, "American Pie."

But, I was wrong. He played 2 songs that I'd never heard before. Both of them, however, did have "pie" in the song. He's very clever that way!

So, I got to wondering how many songs there are that have to do with pie. And, I thought maybe my fellow Music Cellar friends could help me come up with some songs.

What songs do you know that have "pie" in the title or in the actual song?

Pie in the Sky, Oscar Brand It's a folk tune but I just thought of the title and cannot remember the tune.

That's a real challenge Linda!

How about

"All This and Pecan Pie" by Grant Langston

"Jazzberry Pie" by Denny Jiosa

"Flaming Pie" by Paul McCartney (Ok! I'm surprised our Beatles fans didn't get that one!)

Any others that you can think of?
