this is hard .....

Premier League:

Stone Roses - Stone Roses
Belly - Star
Jam - All Mod Cons
Cramps - .... Off The Bone
Specials - Specials
King Kurt - Ooh Wallah Wallah
Paul Weller - Wild Wood
Nirvana - Nevermind
Voice of The Beehive - Let It Bee
Pogues - Rum, Sodomy & The Lash

Nationwide Division One:

Sex Pistols - Nevermind ....
Brian Setzer Orchestra - Dirty Boogie
The (English) Beat - Just Can't Stop It
Madness - One Step Beyond
Prodigy - Experience
Chemical Brothers - Surrender
Sultans of Ping FC - Casual Sex In The Cineplex
Sugar - Copper Blue
B-52's - Bouncing Off The Satellites
Billy Bragg - Talking With The Taxman About Poetry

most of the second bundle started in the top ten ... but the more I thought the more i changed my mind!

Everyone should have (at least) listened to Stone Roses debut album. In twenty years time this will still feature in most top ten albums of all time.

most under-rated album on my list must be Belly - Star. I'd recommend this to anyone .....

Wow...perfection is a hard call but these come to mind as close to it!

First--->Yay! On The Dan Fogelberg mention above. I assuredly agree with that one!
2. Sweet Baby James---James Taylor
3. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road---Elton John
4. Tapestry---Carol King
5. Who's Next---The Who
6. The original "Tommy"---The Who again
7. Deja Vu---Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
8. Another agreement on "Tea For The Tillerman"
9. Yet another strong agreement on "The White Album"
10. "Peter Paul & Mary" ( the one with Puff The Magic Dragon on it)

Those were the ones that first came into my head as being consistent and memorable but there are a lot more.

I have no doubt that if I answered this tomorrow, I’d probably have at least 5 different albums in there:
Dark Side Of The Moon – Pink Floyd
London Calling – The Clash
Abbey Road – The Beatles
Physical Graffiti – Led Zeppelin
East West – Jimi Hendrix
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road – Elton John
Tapestry – Carole King
Tea For The Tillerman – Yusuf Islam
One Size Fits All – Frank Zappa
Thick As A Brick – Jethro Tull

How’s this for a top ten list of albums not already mentioned after 70 or so replies?
Talking Heads 77 – Talking Heads
In Through The Out Door – Led Zeppelin
Pearl – Janis Joplin
Rattus Norgevicus – The Stranglers
Paranoid – Black Sabbath
Crime Of The Century – Supertramp
Aja - Steely Dan
Lust For Life – Iggy Pop
Goat’s Head Soup – Rolling Stones
Great Rock And Roll Swindle – Sex Pistols
