It's unbelievable that I'm the first one to post on this issue.

Good show/Bad show?
winners, right on/or not?
discuss.

is it me...or is Alicia Keyes just really hot?

Is it me...or every time I see Christina Aguilera, I think slut?

is it me...never mind...

Didn't see the show over here in UK and although I wasn't surprised by the winners I didn't think they particularly represented the best of todays music. Can't work out how Lady Marmalade won an award at all, in my opinion it was one of the worst records of last year!

Wasn't impressed by last weeks Brit awards either, there is so much talent out there that doesn't even get a look in let alone an award!

Agreed.

I think of the Grammys as one long advertisement.

yes, pirate more music on the internet!
or something like that...
btw, that is so wrong.

I believe in buying albums not downloading it.
then again...I can afford it.
so, I'm not complaining.

I really enjoyed Alicia Keyes, can't stand Christina Aguleria. I cheered for "O, Brother Where Art Thou" because one of my student's parents is currently touring with one of the artists who recorded on that CD. However, all my favorite categories were, as usual, "Grammies presented earlier this evening...." (All the jazz categories.).

I didn't watch it over here of course, but I really like Alicia Keyes and the kids turned me on to her stuff in the car.
She's hot, you're not imagining it.

I even like Mary J Bligh (oooops I've misspelled it).

I guess i am the only one here who doesn't like Alicia Keys she has a pretty voice but i don't care for her music. It just ain't for me. But where would everyone be if we liked the same things? I thought Nsync and Nelly gave a good performance (i know i will get it for that one).I agree with the Lady Marmalade. Patti Labelle was the best thing in that performance.I do like all of the other singers in that song but the song and them performaning together has played out!!And Mary J. Blige was wonderful i've liked her anyway since she came out. And Nelly Fertado could have done anything else but that stupid song I'm Like A Bird i like her music but that one song. OK Ya'll go easy on me cause i know i'm probably gonna get it.

Yeah, you're gonna get it.

I can't believe you don't like soul and R&B.
oh, well...we can't all like the same things.

To me, that's real music.
not this trendy, faddish boy band/female superstar thing.

If you've never heard of it, I probably like it.
This applies to everything jazz.

what about swing? and neo-swing?
whatever happened to that?

I do like r&b just not Alicia Keyes take a look at my reply in "what's your fav. cd?" I like anything that sounds good. Rock,Pop,R&B,Country,Rap,and Alternative. Hey give me some credit i agreed with Lady Marmalade and i will agree with the Christena Aguilera comment you made. And i think the same thing about Britney Spears when she dresses like she does.
