"Sin" is really one of my favorites... I'm very addicted to the song. I mean, when the song is finished, I HAVE to listen to it again! Hey Tanzen, you know the band Cold? Or Sevendust? They are some of my favorites. You just HAVE to listen to Cold's song "No One" or Sevendust's songs "Praise" and "Crucified"... [ 05-14-2002, 06:32 PM: Message edited by: aballinshadow ]

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Slayer - 2 songs only. "Angel of death" and "Skeletons of society". I like the second (Skeleton of society), but Angel of Death has never been too much into my mind. That's about all I have to say about Slayer. Sorry.

Talking really honestly, I don't know one single song you typed! ... But I'm still young, I don't know everything yet. I recognized two bands though. Anthrax, Type O Negative. But I don't know one single song of them. Guess I don't know as much as I though... [ 05-16-2002, 12:49 PM: Message edited by: aballinshadow ]

no panic, these ARE mainly bands from the 80's Allthough most of them are still active now, except SOD, MOD and DRI. Just wanted to give anyone a hint if they were thinking about downloading something new... As for me, I don't know any of the new bands you guys have been mentioning... The only new thing I kinda liked was Alien Ant Farm's "Smooth Criminal": brilliant cover. But hey, that's propably not done to say? ![[Big Grin]](images/icons/laugh.gif)

Well, about ancient bands, I especially like Metallica and Iron Maiden. And I know a few songs of some other bands. "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Walk" by Pantera, etc... But for the older bands, I can't say I know very much...

HEY WIMM, I grew up in the 80's and 90's. I remember SOD, DRI, MOD, Suicidal, and Sacred Reich. Those bands were all grouped together as "Speed Metal". ![[Confused]](images/icons/confused.gif) What kind of mess is that. Really great bands that were totally different were always being labeled and categorized by some right-wing, coservative jerk, mainly Tipper Gore and the P.M.R.C. Mmmmmhhh... Hey by the way, I just bought Papa Roach's new CD today. I haven't listened to it yet, but I will. Anybody who likes hard rock should like Papa Roach. I mean, they are trying to get their place in hard rock, and they will have their place. I think they may be more popular than Korn has ever been someday.

I've listened to Papa Roach but think they're just Iron Maiden wannabes. Every track I've heard by them has a Maiden riff in it. Fair enough, use other people's guitar parts, but be creative and change it around a bit. System of a Down are a very talented band. I haven't stopped playing both CDs since I got them. Same goes for Rammstein too. But, SOAD & Rammstein are the only newer metal bands I can listen too. Bring back the big hair days of Slayer, WASP & Judas Priest 'cos if it wasn't for bands such as these, the likes of Linkin Park & Papa Roach wouldn't exist.

Well, everybody's got his/her own opinion. I'm not saying Iron Maiden is not a good band. I like Iron Maiden. Metallica too by the way. For the older bands, they are my two favorites. For the more recent bands, Papa Roach and Linkin Park may be my favorites. I like them and that's it.

My favorite band is Linkin Park, all of their music is good. System Of A Down is also good. Of course there's lots of others I think is good too but they're two of my favorites.

Most of these bands are Nu Metal bands, not really Hard Rock. But you also seem to like Hard Rock.
If you wanna have Hard Rock...AC/DC!
They still rock!
Or try some of those:
Earshot - Unfortunate
Vex Red - Can't Smile
Hardcore Superstar - Shame
Not Hard Rock in the common sense, but you might like them.
Try Blackshine, they have some pretty hooklines in store.
"Soulless & Proud" for example.

Hum... of what you just named Elfstone, I only know Earshot, because my radio station plays their song "Get away". A good song by the way.

I know, these bands are not that famous.
"Get away" is nice, but "Unfortunate" kills me.
"Shame" by Hardcore Superstar grooves.
Blackshine is heavy rock. "Another Twist" is maybe the best (at least the intro).
Sevendust is quite good you're right.
"Headtrip" and "Denial" are nice.
One of my current favorites:
Tesla - Love Song (live in concert)
Great. But this one's an older ballad, not much rock in there.
Best of AC/DC:
Back in Black
Highway to Hell
Hell's Bells

I'm not too much into ACDC, but I love Iron Maiden and Nine Inch Nails!
By Iron Maiden, my favorites are...
Run to the hills
The number of the beast
Be quick or be dead
Bring your daughter to the slaughter
Aces high
And by Nine Inch Nails...
Closer
Sin
Head like a hole
******** ( whoops, a four letter word snuck in there .. please be careful of this! )
We're in this together

Everybody MUST listen to The Wildhearts. For creativity in songwriting and music you can't get much better. Anybody that's going to the Bulldog Bash in England will soon find out as they are headlining it. Anybody who's not, download some tracks and find out for yourself.

I LOVE Linkin Park... hence LP (Linkin Park) Angel55. I think they're awesome. I love all of their songs.. I like "In The End," "With U," and "Papercut" probably the best. I have a song they released as Hybrid Theory.. "High Voltage".. I like that song a lot too. I also like Papa Roach... they're new song "She Loves Me Not" is really cool. They're older stuff is good though too. Godsmack is cool also.. u have good musical taste. Feel free to leave me a note or something. Bye.

Metallica is also a good hard rock band. I love their music. "Wherever I May Roam" is my favorite song and "The Memory Remains."

hum... I never liked Korn THAT much, though I really like the songs "Got The Life" and "Here To Stay". And true, I'm still waiting for Linkin Park's new songs, I hope it will be soon... After their second CD as a remix CD, I'm wondering if the third will be a greatest hits!
