Have you ever been to a music store and just laughed at a stupid or weird band name?

Last week, I was looking at the archives. Kim Band... King Africa... King Biscuit...

King Biscuit? [Big Grin]

I laughed loud! 'King Biscuit', really?!

Have you ever laughed when seeing the name of a band, like it happened to me?

I think that it's meant to be cool because Russell Crowe is in it, but his band "30 odd foot of grunts" is a weird one.

The weirdest band name I've heard and I love them to death, but it has to be Hoobastank! I don't know where they got it, but it's pretty weird in my opinion.

I heard that the name of the dog of one member of Slipknot is "Knot". Maybe that explains the name of the band. I'm not too sure about that though.

I heard this name when I was a teenager and it has stuck with me for many years even though I have never had the pleasure of hearing any of their "music", "Mousalinni Head Kick". Pardon my spelling, I'm quite sure I misspelled that. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

T.I.S.M. (This Is Serious Mum), Orphic Soop, Crash Test Dummies & Half Man Half Biscuit spring to mind although with a bit of thought I could come up with a lot more.

Geez, IndieQueen...your last post makes me HUNGRY!...cause in these parts, "Cheetos", manufacturer or "cheesy no good for you" snacks, made one in a "wheel" shape...which seemed EXTRA cheesy to me...and damned GOOD, to boot!
So "Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies" just sent me over the edge there, for a sec!

I heard an interview with AC/DC one morning, and one of the guys said his first band was called: The Sahara Desert Canoe Club (pretty funny, huh?) [Roll Eyes]

Squirrel Nut Zippers is one of the oddest I've heard. I like them though.

Toad The Wet Sprocket, I found out that they got thier name from a Monty Python sketch.

The Electric Prunes.

The band name that offends me the most is Cherry Poppin' Daddies.

I'd have to say some of the oddest I have heard/seen are "Toilet Rockers", a bar band from Wisconsin, "Hoopsnakes" a blues band from the Twin Cities in Minnesota, and "Spock's beard" from Iowa.
