I LOVE these lyrics. While many find them depressing, I think it's a great reminder to live every day to the fullest.

Numbers of descendants. Segregated by design. Caught up in a purpose that disgraces their standards. These actions won't help us end our fight. Progress can't be made by weeding out the majority. Eliminate the source but do not destroy the fighters. The color of the oppressor is only the shortcoming of the disaster. End the sinister accusations. Acknowledge the foresight in which we hold. To end oppression - doing it in an uneducated way is not going to end it. It's going to enforce ones reputation in a disgraceful manner. To segregate us by color would be antithetical to what we are trying to accomplish.

There are a ton of others that come to mind --- far too many to mention here ... I will return with the words to some of the above soon.

I have many beloved song lyrics, but I guess the one that is most significant to me is the one seen in my signature below. It is from 'Heartland' by The The (Matt Johnson IS the band). Here are a few other lovely lines from the same song.
