The first golf comp in eight years is off and running, and like the tournament itself, we have a two-way tie at the top, with PaulE and szabs leading the field by a good margin. However, if the two end up tied in the end it will be a one-on-one matchup of Louis Oosthuizen and Sergio Garcia to see who wins, since they picked the same other 4 players!

Nobody picked tournament co-leader Jason Dufner, ranked #31 in the world. However, George95 read the tea leaves correctly and picked up the other co-leader, Fred Couples. Couples has previously won the Masters, his only major win, in 1992. Dufner has only two tournament wins since turning professional in 2000.

gillyharold and kevinatilusa both lost a player before the tournament even started, when Dustin Johnson withdrew. During the second round, srini701, LeoDaVinci, and gtho4 also found themselves a man down when Jason Day withdrew after seven holes.

The most popular pick by far, Tiger Woods, finds himself eight strokes back from the lead. The second most popular pick, Phil Mickelson, is only three shots out after posting an impressive 68 in the second round.

Several tippers will find themselves with golfers missing the cut, as Johnson Wagner, K.J. Choi, Darren Clarke, and Ben Crenshaw all failed to reach the +5 cut.

PaulE ran away with this comp, picking both playoff participants, as well as Phil Mickelson, who tied for third. Szabs stole second away from Howie72, as they tied with their regular foursomes, but szabs fifth golfer, Tiger Woods, shot a 293 while Howie's fifth golfer, Charl Schwartzel, shot a 296.

The ninth-place tie between paper_aero and Sypher could not be broken, as both tippers picked the exact same five golfers.

Srini and ozzz were the only tippers who had to use the scores of golfers that missed the cut - KJ Choi and Darren Clarke, respectively. Five tippers picked golfers who withdrew from the tournament. Srini was one of them, with Jason Day's withdrawal making him take Choi's doubled score.

The Masters itself came down to the wire as Louis Oosthuizen and Bubba Watson went into a playoff. Oosthuizen was fueled by an early albatross, but Watson led a late charge with four straight birdies on holes 13-16 to tie at -10. On the second playoff hole, Watson hit an amazing recovery shot from the woods to help win with a par over Oosthuizen's bogey. Watson had only three wins since turning pro in 2003, and his previous best Masters finish was 20th in 2008.

Phil Mickelson would have been in contention for the win, if not for a triple bogey on the par 3 #4, when he drove into the brush along the left side. Two right-handed shots later, he pitched into the bunker, where he went up-and-down for a 6.

Tiger Woods, who 12 of the 16 tippers picked, finished tied for 40th at +5, tied with the third-most picked player (with 9), Rory McIlroy. Mickelson was the 2nd-most picked with 10 tippers choosing the lefty.

And finally, we look forward to seeing everyone back for the US Open in June!
