It isn't always raining in Ireland despite the jaunting car driver telling us that in Killarney it only rains twice a week, once for three days and once for four! Actually I have never seen such changes in the weather in a short space of time, you can get everything from glorious sunshine, to overcast, to pouring rain and back again in hours.

Sue, the weather's like that in Scotland often too; a few weeks ago we had hot sunshine, rain, and a snow flurry all in the same day!

Found one Ren. Not the best photo as it is a winter shot - last November. The buildings you can see on the right are my potting shed (the metal structure) that has sides I can roll down to completely enclose it when I have anything tender in there, and the big double shed that houses the sit on mower. Beyond that, the trees are the start of our old orchard, around 100 years old, my husband's Grandfather planted it, that is about 400 feet long. Just behind me is the vegetable garden and greenhouse, and then our bungalow. I'll try and get a better one this summer when everything looks pretty (well hopefully looks pretty anyway).

Thanks Christina, its lovely to such a great open space. People would kill for that here! Although I do have a (very small)plot it is a rarity .
I have often thought of making the two week theme about people's gardens, but I suppose it would deprive those with no garden of a chance to post.

Just make it "Gardens", then. Those of us without our own can always send in the Tuileries...

You will nearly always see an oast house when taking photos in Kent, although many are actually converted into houses. This however is a couple of miles over the border in Sussex.

Anyone else having a problem with Photobucket. They seem to have a new edit facility which is so much more complicated than the old one and so far I've tried three times to re-size a photo and each time it says the operation has failed!

I'm not using photobucket at the moment, partly because I found the loading too slow. Are the photos larger than normal and maybe it's being slow and timing out? That's happened to me before.

If it keeps up, there are a few stand alone editors that could resize for you - you probably have your own sites but Picmonkey is my favourite at the moment; it is really easy to use, and its basics are free. You just upload a pic from your computer, and then it saves it back to your computer, and then you can upload it to your host site afterwards.

I love coming to the photos especially the pets that are posted. Well today I wanted to get a shot of both my dogs together. I have about 50 shots I took and not once could I get them to just sit and "chill". This is my best shot. You can see both faces and they are semi-calm. hahaha Ladybyrd is the Red Fox Lab. Dozer is the Black Lab/English Setter. After this picture they both went and jumped in the pond.

Kylemore Abbey

I so loved Kylemore Abbey when I visited so many years ago. Hasn't changed a bit, though when I was there the rhododendrons were in full bloom in the surrounding countryside.

It just looks so peaceful and sort of at home tucked away in the hills and the trees.
