Here's something a little different. The sides have been removed from this incubator box so you can see the contents. It's an algal growth bioassay - part of a project to help control growth of algal blooms in Australia's waterways.

Here's a box that could really be called a chest, a seafarer's chest. It belonged to my mother-in-law's uncle, who was a sailor and who took to the seas with all his worldly possessions tucked inside this simple chest:

Then it really can be called a treasure chest! I want one.

Hehe yeah, I guess! If it could talk I bet it'd have wonderful tales to tell! I love it, despite it's simplicity!

Same box, same cat, but she's tiring of the game by now.

Precious certainly likes those boxes! Kaos used to crouch in any cardboard box, with huge pupils black as coal, and draw blood on any hand with the temerity to approach. He thought it was a great game and the band aid makers made huge profits :-)

Oh! That's a thought! I don't know - it was a pleasant piece of graffiti, a welcome sight, amidst a long wall of very boring, ugly, mindless, scrawled graffiti. But it could well be Calvin. I'm going to think of him as Calvin from now on. And keep an eye out for Hobbes.

Great, I can post a picture of the ones under my eyes lol.

In the meantime, here's a small brass box (that's my wedding ring on the left for size reference). It has two compartments inside, one for calligraphy or fountain pen nibs and the other supposedly for stamps (although I can't remember the last time I sent snail mail, so there aren't any stamps in it right now).
