Dick Clark, best known as the host of "American Bandstand", has died today at 82 of a heart attack.

"American Bandstand" debuted on ABC in 1957, the year I and my brothers were born. Clark also hosted "Bloopers and Practical Jokes" and "The $1,000 Pyramid", and was the regular host of ABC's "Rockin' New Year's Eve" broadcasts.

He was often called "America's Oldest Teenager". Well, even teenagers die, but his legacy will live on. Peace, Dick.

When I was a teen, I never missed an episode of American Bandstand. He had such a soothing voice and the face of a "twenty-something" year old for his whole life. May he RIP.
