If a category B signs-in that's it's, we have a field of 18 runners .. ditto if #16 signs-in before the deadline (and no-one from B signs-in) ditto if #18 signs-in before the deadline (and no-one from B signs-in). No-one from Y or Z is eligible as 18 have already signed-in from A+B+R categories! If no-one signs-in before the deadline, wwe84 will be the 18th.

The complete stats showing results of each head-to-head
match-up, for both rounds, will be posted later this week,

Two games were picked by everyone, and two games were picked by no-one, which left us with a truckload of players scored 3 or 4 goals .. but only one of the 9 FT-PL games ended in a draw. Howie72 & szabs scored 4 goals each but lost, whereas dg_dave & N-Bomb scored 4 goals and won!

Last season's FT-PL comp saw three players face relegation: wwe84, DanielPoulson and rxbigdawg .. wwe84 avoided the drop as only two new players signed in: BxBarracuda and KrivoyRog. Welcome aboard!

Newly-promoted KrivoyRog beat illiniman14 by 5-3, which leaves the defending titleholder bringing up the rear.

There are 38 rounds in the FA Premier League but only 34 rounds in the FT Premiership. We're skipping the FA Cup quarter-finals weekend in March plus the three rounds played from Boxing Day to NY Day.

Once again only one of the FT-PL games ended in a draw. After two rounds just three players have a 100% record with two wins, and three players have lost both.

illiniman14 is off the bottom, despite collecting a wooden spoon .. which ends his spoonless streak at 36 weeks.

No-one in the top 10 spots retained their position from last week.

N-Bomb is now the solo front-runner as he was the only one of the top four from last week to win. He's now won 4 games straighht. His margin of 3 pts back to 2nd is the biggest so far this season. The next 3 pts cover 8 players .. and from there a mere 4 pts covers the remaining half of the field.

No one picked the win by Spurs away to Manchester United, their first win at Old Trafford in almost 23 years .. their previous win was on Saturday 16th December 1989, when they won 1-0. The lone goal was scored by Gary Lineker.

George95 and ozzz2002 both lost, which brought to an end their undefeated runs from the start of the season.

We're now starting to drift apart .. three of the first four won, the four behind them all lost, and the three tail-enders all lost. Last week the top six were separated by just 3 points (one win) .. it's now doubled to 6 points. A run of three consecutive losses has seen N-Bomb drop from 1st to 6th.

Last week the ten players running 8th to 17th were also separated by just 3 points; that spread is now out to 8 pts.

Dizart, BxBarracuda and FussBudget have all climbed to their highest position for the season.

BxBarracuda has now won five straight, Howie72 has lost five straight. KrivoyRog started the season with back-to-back wins, but has not won any game since (seven games without a win).

The first three all won and have now put 5 points between themselves and the rest of the field. Sypher has now won 4 straight, Dizart 5 straight, and BxBarracuda 6 straight. The record for consecutive wins is 10 straight, set back in season 2005-06 by Sypher.

The next three all lost, allowing PaulE to climb into 4th place, his highest position so far .. he's won 4 straight. Ditto szabs, wwe84 and FussBudget, they have also climbed to new highs for the season.

A run of four consecutive losses has seen N-Bomb drop from 1st to 8th. KrivoyRog's win brings to an end his run of seven games without a win.

Howie72 has now lost six straight. The record is ten straight losses, set by JuniorTheJaws in season 2006-07.

This week we had five winners with 6/10 and one wooden spoon with 2/10 .. everyone else scored 5/10 (that's 11 of 18 players) except for KrivoyRog. Therefore, it's no surpRise that we had draws in 5 of the 9 games.

Sypher was held to a draw by ozzz2002, to bring to an end his run of four straight wins. He now holds first place on GD from BxBarracuda, who won his 7th straight and set a new season-high by moving into 2nd place.

Dizart lost to slip from 2nd to 3rd .. the loss to PaulE ended his run 5 straight wins. PaulE retained 4th spot with his 5th straight win; he was third-last 5 weeks ago, back in 16th place.

szabs climbs into fifth place with her fourth win in 5 games. Her move up into 5th place set a new season-high. She was back in 12th place five weeks ago. Howie72 ended his horror run of six straight losses with a draw.

Apart from the two tail-enders, no-one outside the first four kept their spot from last week. We'll probably have another rendition of musical chairs next week, as the six players in 5th to 10th place are separated by just 3 pts (that's one win) .. ditto the next four.
