Only one week left in our season and George95 moves up into 2nd place, hoping that he can at least keep silver. No one else has a chance at gold, as dg_dave takes an unprecedented 14 point lead with only 16 games left. The only two that could even remotely hit it are George95 and illiniman14, who are 14 and 15 points behind, respectively. With six points guaranteed next week, that (in essence) gives dg_dave a 20 point spread with 16 games left, barring any bonus points by either of them.
George95 takes this week's win with his stellar picks of 14/16, and leaves four others scratching their heads why their 13's didn't win. Ozzz2002 didn't do so hot, and takes this week's cutlery.
LeoDaVinci must really be taking the Niners loss hard, as now that division will be decided next week, and this tipper would tip against them making the Super Bowl. How in the world do you have a team who ties St. Louis at home, loses to the same team away in an-almost tie game again (!), then goes up 31-3 against Tom Brady, only to win by seven, then get shellacked by Seattle, and still feel they will go to their sixth Super Bowl? All those in opposition please post why you think the Niners will be watching the 2013 Super Bowl.
The playoff picture is still quite fuzzy for the lower seeds in both conferences. Most of the teams are decided, but the NFC East (which is where dg_dave's home team is) is only decided by one game, and the winner will be going on (Washington or Dallas).
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his home team...11-4 this year. It took a bit of OT to decide this one though, which after trailing by 14 with 7:00 to go, it shouldn't have even gone that far.
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked.
Any inactive tippers who tip and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last (or the lowest active tipper)

The NFL season is over, and the podium and playoff picture have come into focus.
We have our first ever defense of an NFL title, as dg_dave takes it in style by winning the competition by a whopping 15 points on second and third. He came out of nowhere in Week 9, and galloped the rest of the way.
While several dropped off the radar late in the season, we saw MikeMaster99 for the first week and no other tips came from him. Underscored came in mid-season, and, again, tipped for only one week.
Chogobad catches both paper_aero and dg_dave with his fourth weekly win. He also takes the only sole bonus point by picking the Panthers to win. We would like a 50 word explanation as to why.
Ozzz2002 ties doomed with his fourth Spoon - no one else got to more than four in either column.
Bonus points were highest honored to dg_dave with eight, and ozzz2002 with seven. Honorable mentions go to wwe84 and LeoDaVinci with six each.
One final thought...gtho4 was the only season long tipper not to crack into the top 10.
We'll see how the comp organizer did against his home team...12-4 this year...not as good as last year's 14-2 though. The Cowboys went a dismal 8-8.
I am now handing the baton off to BxBarracuda to take us through the postseason and to Super Bowl XLVII!
