This is in Arnold, Nottingham. I thought the camera was broken because the colour was wrong but then I found it was half on video and half on 'normal' picture.

Chavs, I think you did take the title too literally. Like the way you think, though.

This sign seems a little unnecessary. I mean, who doesn't know to beware of poisonous snakes? It could just as easily have said "beware of running with scissors" or "beware of live electricity."



Perhaps, though, it is referring to possible rattlesnakes on the trail to the Missouri River in central South Dakota where I took the picture.

Speaking of warning signs:

This was off the path at the Corlea Trackway.
They also have life buoys posted around the pools.

The Barbican Towers

I've been keeping an eye on these photos since the beginning of the year, thought I'd share one. Took this one a couple of months ago in Bali, Indonesia. Australia's favourite holiday destination. I was standing on a cliff by the beach, lovely view.

After New York City it was an 8 hour bus trip to Buffalo where a Canadian friend picked me up and took me across the border to Canada, a brief stop at Niagara to see the water dripping over the falls before heading to Hamilton where I was staying for 2 nights. Here are the aforementioned falls.

Here is a railroad bridge over the Missouri River at what is now Chamberlain SD. The Lewis and Clark Expedition landed very near here on their trip up the Missouri River.



Little known fact: Sacajawea was ill during this portion of the trip so a young English girl named Flopsymopsy was recruited to lead them for a time.

Howie: WOW!!!

Welcome Daaanieeel. I did the New York-Buffalo and to Niagara trip over 30 years ago, but flew the first bit with just the bus to Niagara and my extra stamp on the passport for the afternoon trip to see the falls from the better side.

I just bought a monopod for the new camera as it has a massive zoom and can't use it without something to stop it moving. This is the old bus stop where I used to get the 102 home until 1976 when I got a moped and the bus route extended so didn't turn here any more. The H2 only took over recently after many years as a staff car park, and the direction has been reversed although the route goes the same way as the 102 did.
