I named Terrapins as the mascot of the University of Maryland in last game's hour. It was marked as wrong and stated that the Terrapin was their mascot. I realize that a turtle or tortoise is singular, but on no less a sports authority than ESPN refers to Maryland's teams as the Terrapins on their website. Any chance that the plural version can be added to the answer bank?

If I remember the question, it was asking for the animal itself, not the nickname. It's a tricky thing, but the singular is the correct answer. However, if the FMI editors want to allow the plural, it wouldn't bother me in the least speaking as a long-time FMI database wonk.
