A-League football (soccer) is back for another year, so get your names down for another lucky dip. ozzz2002 won last season with a last-gasp Hof, from gtho4. Third place went to LeoDaVinci who just pipped FussBudget. I think FB wants some revenge.  Rules [*] Threads will close prior to the start of the first game. [*] A bonus point will be awarded for a perfect score. [*] A bonus point will also be awarded for anyone that tips a result solo. [*] Ties will be broken in the following order 1)- HoF/Spoon differential 2)- Most Hall of Fame awards [*] Picks of all home games will be penalised a point. [*] Default will be equal to the lowest score each round. [*] Late starters will be given a score equivalent to the last-placed active tipster. First round starts Friday, October 5, and fixtures will be posted very soon. Most rounds will kick off on Friday evening, and threads will close just prior to that time. Games will be posted this weekend. Who wants to play?

- Welcome to the A-League tipping comp for 2012-13.
- We have all showed our complete incompetence in tipping Aussie soccer-again! Only one tipster, doomed managed to get more than 50% correct, with most of the field getting only one or zero.

Isn't is a bit harsh to only give out bonus points to Sole picks. Was that rule made up when there were only a few of us playing? I reckon George and I deserve an extra point for the draw.....what do you think?

I know in the three I do, there has to be a minimum of 12 playing for it to go to one of two. There are 14 in this one, but it's up to the comp host.

Dodgy arithmetic fixed. This comp has traditionally been hard to score in, and bonus points have to be earned. I will review it for next comp, but the rules were already laid down prior to the start- it would not be right to change mid-comp.

Backing ozzz on this one, upsets are so often occuring in the A-League that I think the best tippers will rise to the top with or without bonus points (says the guy who's terrible at A-League tipping)
