How far to your nearest neighbour Copago?

Havn't had the camera out much the last few days due to unremitting fog and drizzle, so here are some cute coatis from Colchester Zoo taken earlier in the year.

No, I was not out and about at night generally except for when I met up with more friends in the late afternoon and we went out for dinner. I was not in London for long (3 nights I think it was).

I've noticed that there have been quite a few photos of birds lately so here's a Gannet:



Fairy Gannet that is. Another of the exhibits at Duxford. I love how the wings fold up so that
they take as little room as possible in an aircraft carrier's hanger.

I was saddened to hear about Tezza. It's such a shame when we lose one of our FT family.

This was a display of silk lanterns representing the Terracotta Warriors that we saw on the waterfront in Hong Kong.

This is the small mountain behind my house. The lone saguaro on the top is a favorite landmark for many people. I've nicknamed him Charlie and I love to sit on my back porch and look up at him. Hubby climbed up there one day and said he's huge! It's a lot farther away than you'd think and took hubby a long time to get up there.

On our way to visit Ren, we stopped at a lovely little park in Fanling. Loved the hedge shaped like a dragon with golf-ball eyes.

Somebody had a very bad day. This was a very small filling station in a tiny Idaho town. I heard that they were trying to sell this then a few days later it burns.

I hope/ am sure they were insured, but I have a suspicious mind!

Some Autumn colour

Another shot from the same park in Fanling - the turtle pond. This is only a fraction of it. It was a very large pond with many exposed rocks, most of which had a turtle on top - but usually only one per rock!

More memories, I found one before on a private road but these two (the other was covered in moss) are on a very public road in Croydon. This also is the more commonly made one (before 1964 that is) without catseyes which I didn't have.

I really must go and find this park of yours,Carole, it looks interesting!

Before I carry on with more London photo from the trip, I shall bore you with a few photos I took on October 29th, 2012 from the Caroline Bay/Timaru Harbour area. First up is Whales Creek and the Benvenue Cliffs.

That looks lovely Howie. Doesn't look like much water for a whale though.

Then I knew a person who had about three premises burn down, two failing businesses and one house which was about to be purchased by compulsory purchase for a new road! He is dead now.
