The prolific Chinese Author has dies in Switzerland. She was best known for "A Many Splendored Thing". set here in Hong Kong, which was semi autobiographical. A lovely writer.

Most people are best acquainted with the 1950s movie version starring Jennifer Jones as Han Suyin and William Holden. The film's theme song was a best seller. Suyin got her title from a poem by Francis Thompson ("The Hound of Heaven").
