I'm just wondering if the people who couldn't play are going to be able to make up the game they missed with the site down?It does rather make a difference to me since it knocked me out of first place.

The scores look like nobody was able to play yesterday, TriviaJunkie. I wasn't able to get in at all.

Ouch, Melba, I should have thought about the day we all missed. My problem is that I missed the day before also. If you look at the number of games played, I am one short of the rest of the field. Losing a possible 26 points has lost first place for me. Of course you are breathing down my neck for the spot, but thanks for making me clear up what I was trying to say. I couldn't get in
Tuesday afternoon to play, but I could see that tim someone was the last one to play and I think that might have been somewhere around 3. I'm not really sure. I just know that I couldn't play Tuesday and I tried from about 3 until almost 12. Finally, messages came up that said the site was down.
I hate to sound like a whiner, but I'd like a chance to win the tournament and not lose because of a computer glitch. I've never been this close before. Thanks again.

I've had two horrible days in a row on the daily if that makes you feel any better.

This is getting too repetitious for words. If you people were planning on shutting down then everyone should have been prevented from playing extra games when you moved. I was tied with Wassamatryou when I thought the tournament was over. I was at the site and saw that he/she had played again and yet when I tried, I was AGAIN denied access. You folks don't want me around or what? I have never attacked or berated anyone, sent the first problem and complaint in an e-mail, and have tried to be amiable, but I am beginning to develop hostile feelings over a silly game. I think whether the elite think I'm whining or not, that I have been treated totally unfairly. In the past when there have been access problems, deadlines were extended. Would someone please share with me the rationale behind penalizing some players?

And, no Melba, it didn't make me feel good at all to know you had difficult days. That wasn't the problem. A fair and equal shot at the same questions with the same opportunities is all I'm asking for everyone.
I'd say from the looks of the number of games played, I'm not the only one who got dumped on. And for my whine, I'll take a little Lambrusco, thank you very much.

I realize it's not the same problem, TriviaJunkie. I was trying to commiserate. What I meant was I did so poorly, I may as well have not played at all. Funny. Supposed to be funny. Lighten up.

I thought I was trying to lighten up with a glass of Lambrusco, Melba. I'm afraid it's hard to lighten up, commend everyone, and be joyful when you feel as though the computer has effectively ruined your chances of winning a game that you've thought highly of in the past. Of course, I'd like to see anyone else in the same situation "lighten up" too. If you'd like to give me some of your points, by all means, feel free. I'll be happy to "lighten" that burden of points you're carrying.

Lambrusco is a wine of a different sort that I enjoy on occasion, treebartt.

Oh Tree, you claim to be Italian and do not know Lambrusco.

I do not mean to make light of your topic Trivia junkie. I was also in the top ten and missed a day becasue of the down time. I also very much enjoy this site, for the most part, lol, and tend to get annoyed when it is not perfect. But hey in the end it is still the best site I have found and I am happy to put up with the occasional flaw. We ain't playing for sheep stations after all.
