KABUL, Afghanistan, March 26 — A series of major earthquakes shook Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan on Monday night and Tuesday, killing at least 1,200 people, relief officials said. The Afghan Defense Ministry says 600 bodies had been recovered by early afternoon from villages still shaking from frequent aftershocks, with officials predicting the toll will climb still higher.

I think it really sucks that an earthquake had to hit Afghanistan after all the country's been through. Also children went back to school in awhile which was a good thing, but too bad the earthquake hit right when Afghans started to rebuild their lives.

Yet another tragic waste of life.

Because I'm up TOO late...it's almost TOMORROW morning...but I did see it this morning, about the earthquakes in Afghanistan...and it did shake me up, pardon the expression. We hear coverage only because of the "war"...but these poor people! What they have been through. What did they understand of it all? Now this...I think we, in the F orums, if we accept it or not, are blessed.
