Yesterday, my father, Harvey George Bigham, lost his life to the heart condition he struggled with for so long. He died suddenly the morning of his 46th anniversary with my still living mother. He will be buried this Wednesday.

Goodbye, Dad. We'll miss you.

Terry this really is sad news. But what a fantastic achievement of 46 years of marriage - that alone speaks volumes.

Terry, I am so sorry for your loss...truly. I share deeply in your sorrow. This week Runningbear and myself also lost a loved one from heart failure. On April 1st my sister's husband John Phillips died suddenly and tragically at the young age of 42. I thank you for sharing of your sorrow in this forum, I didn't know how to express our grief and it helps to learn of your terrible loss. I am sorry to hear that your father passed away. You are so fortunate to have had the love of your father for all those years and so many good memories to fall back on. When I read your post, it reminded me that a lot of people (like myself) are not close to their parents at all due to many different reasons, or don't even know who their parents are. I would give a lot to feel what you are feeling right now, because that would mean that a treasured love has been lost. Take care of yourself and look out for your mom at this sorrowful time. Think of the good things you shared with your dad and that will keep him alive in your heart.
