Slight change of scene....
This fellow (girl?), a moray eel, was wrapped around a clump of coral just offshore from Heron Island on the southern Great Barrier Reef. He bared his teeth for this photo (I think) to protect his food (the green fish seen below him).

I'm still very much a newbie taking photos underwater (Canon PowerShot D20) - most are just blurs. But the scenery is spectacular... more photos over the next few days. And to complete the story, the water temp is a very balmy 27C (81F). I keep telling myself that work is making me do this :-)
