Today's tips are on Colgate tootpaste! Some strange things to do with it.

POLISH SLIVERWARE,SILVER,OR GOLD. Colgate will shine up silver and gold. Rinse thoroughly.

CLEAN PIANO KEYS. Squeeze Colgate on a damp cloth. Rub the keys will,wipe dry,and buff witha soft,dry cloth. Afer all,ivory comes from an elephant's tusk.

REMOVE INK SPOTS FROM CLOTH. Squeeze Colgate on spot,scrub,and rinse thoroughly.

DRY UP PIMPLES. Dab Colgate on pimples.

REMOVE CRAYON FROM WALLS. Brush the marks with Colgate on an old toothbrush.

REMOVE SCRATCHES ON GLASSWARE. Polish with a dollop of Colgate.

DEODORIZE SMELLY HANDS. Squeeze an inch of Colgate into your palm and wash hands under running water.

REMOVE KOOL-AID MUSTACHES FROM KID'S FACES. Rub on colgate and rinse thoroughly.
(LOL! But I love those little mustaches)

DEODORIZE "SOUR" BABY BOTTLES. Scrub with Colgate and a bottle brush.

REMOVE SCUFFS ON SHOES. Apply Colgate with a tissue,rub,and wipe off.

REMOVE TAR FROM SKIN. Squeeze Colgate on and rub.

FILL SMALL HOLES IN WALLS. Use a small dab of Colgate as emergency spackling to fill in small holes in plaster walls. Let dry before painting.

That last one came in mighty handy in college! My roommate had a dart board on the wall. Problem is, neither she nor her boyfriend were any good at hitting the thing! Hit everywhere on the wall BUT the board!

You know what's really strange? When we moved out, we didn't get our deposit back. Not because of the dart holes in the wall. Not because of the hole in the wall from a flying doorknob. Not for any of the normal wear and tear on an apartment. No, we didn't get it back because we moved a lamp from the living room to one of the bedrooms (we needed more light in there). So, they kept our deposit. Weird.

Geez Linda, I would have fought that one. I suppose they were just looking for anything to keep that money!!

Sandalwood..ever wonder what's IN toothpaste?

Some trivia about toothpaste I learned lately:

19th century tooth powder contained porcelain, smashed coral and cuttlefish bone.
Its purpose was to serve as an abrasive to scrub the foreign particles from teeth. ugh!

Modern pastes clean and polish by substituting ingredients such as silica, chalk, or aluminum oxide (also found in cement). The foam comes from a touch of detergent. Add substances to color the mix, others to improve the taste and consistency, and fluoride to keep your friendly dentist at bay, and you have toothpaste.

The question now is, do we really want this stuff in our mouths? LOL

You can also clean off scuff marks on vinyl flooring with toothepaste.

Yuck Baglady, I think I may be switching over to dipping my toothbrush in baking powder and then peroxide!!

I use an old soft toothbrush and some toothpaste to clean my diamonds and other jewels.

When I was in high-school
if we had a boyfriend and he gave us HIS
classring,we used to clean that with toothpaste.We took little travel tubes to school with us and that was what we did in Study-hall.At the time that was what we thought study-hall was for.I think we really did it then so that the girls that
didn't have a boyfriend would be jealous.
I guess we were real little snots!!!!!
