DECORATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL USES FOR LADDERS
Before you throw out that old, unused ladder that's been sitting in your garage... WAIT! Ladders have several atypical and imaginative uses:

* For a ladder that contains several rungs, lean it against a wall and use as a magazine rack. Open magazines and display their front covers hanging over the ladder rung.

* Place a ladder outside and put your plants on the steps.

* Place a ladder in a spacious bathroom and use it as a nonconventional towel rack.

* Display a ladder in a mudroom or other dark space and use it for drying out flowers.

Using fallen branches from your backyard, you can construct your own decorative ladder! You can determine the size of the ladder as well as the thickness of the rungs by the branches you select. Simply nail tree branches together in a standard ladder pattern. Leave the ladder natural for a rustic look, or spray paint the branches in vivid colors. Great for displaying in casual places such as sunrooms, patios, and porches.

Yeah. Throw the broken ladder away and buy shelving.

Depending on the size of the ladder, you could put it outside and let a vine, like clemetis, grow over it.
