The Nose Knows
Whether it's the aroma of food or the scent of potpourri, smell can enhance memory and change mood. While many people are skeptical about aroma's physiological impact on the
body, studies have shown that certain scents do improve emotional well being. Researchers also report that people experience fewer migraines with the scent of green apple,
less digestive distress with peppermint, are more relaxed with vanilla or lavender, and increase their learning ability with mixed floral scents.
Even if the medical community can't find a direct link to improved physical health, we do know that aromatherapy can positively impact your emotional health. The bottom line: We all feel better when a wonderful scent is in the air!
